I think that's rather amusing really. And there's no longer the ability to stand still while you're in a crescendo event. You can't camp the corner on No Mercy, or the Back in Death Toll 4.
They'll probably nerf the damage the smoker and hunter do in Versus, because of all the new infected and various other traps that you can set up.
And, Charger is going to be the new mini-tank. 2000 HP, probably.

So there's gunna be 8 different special infected?
Hmmm, I wonder if Vs spawn time will go down, to compensate for the lack. Cause you know in survival mode they'll be 4-5 special infected at once sometimes.
And also, had this idea last night, they need to release a different mode where two teams of infected battle it out to see who does more damage to the survivors(NPCs, or humans if you've got enough players). That would get pretty interesting.

You can still camp and do other strats but you just have to be on the lookout for those SI. It won't be 8 SIs at one time... Still only 4 vs. players.
The thing about L4D2 is AI Director 2.0 which will analyze your play style and toss in SI where deemed nessisary. No change in spawn times or anything else, just better AI.
