Re: The jockey needs work!
"The Charger not only can pummel a Survivor into the ground, but can also throw the Survivor up into the air, causing them to crash into the ceiling (if the ceiling is low enough) or slamming them into certain objects, but usually not walls."
Not a glitch animation... But no idea if it does more damage. Betting it doesn't.

Re: The jockey needs work!
Jockey and Charger hit detection is some of the wierdest shit I've ever played with. Hunter hit detection I've always complained about, but I think it's mostly due to slight lag spikes due to the fact that it's the internet - the survivors appears to be right in front of you but is actually one or two steps to the side by the time you've pounced.
In other suggestions on general infected improvements: Boomer needs to be able to boom while moving, smoker needs to do more damage, hunter needs more health, and tank needs SERIOUS boosts to speed and damage.WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS, BURN DOWN LIFE'S HOUSE

Re: The jockey needs work!
I've always said the hunter is the weakest of them all, he gets up in the survivors faces, and has to remain stationary to deal any damage, and yet has no health, and does very little damage. He's great is all of the other survivors are already incapacitated and there is only one left, but otherwise he is pretty useless in my opinion.

Re: The jockey needs work!
As I've said in other threads... I think they are less about what weaknesses an SI has and more of how you are using them.
The hunter is far from weak. As long as he is used when proper, he is one of the highest damage dealers. You just can't pounce into the middle of an unharassed group of four full health survivors and expect anything but a bullet in the head before you do any damage. But pouncing the lagging behind or rushing too far ahead survivor while the rest of them are dealing with a horde or spit, or other distraction and you are going to get some major damage in.
The tank... Wraith... We, who were on your team the other night, definitely know your views on the tank. After about the 10th time you yelled it we were pretty aware of your views on it.However. As with the above, the tank can't wander into an unharassed group of survivors and expect to do anything but die within 10 seconds. Not going to happen. The survivors have to have 3 other SI giving them the business before you rush in or all bets are off.
Again... Coordination of special infected attacks are what wins the day. Piecemeal or "chipping" attacks WILL NOT WORK. Stop claiming weaknesses and figure out what you are doing wrong. Head humping a survivor while the other three are standing there green with autoshotties is going to be futile. Pouncing the same situation is going to be futile. Smoking someone from the front with his buddies standing there? Same thing. Even if you are using the SI the way you should, are you getting cover from your teammates? That great smoke from behind is going to get you nothing if your teammates are sitting there with their thumbs up their asses. If you smoke a guy behind a trailer for instance, his buddies are going to come running. The first one on the way to you had best get hunted... The next one charged... the one you are smoking needs to be spit on. And it all needs to happen at once. A good team will take that first attack, no matter what it is and capitalize on it. That 5 points or so that you would have done by yourself just turned into a 150 points of damage for the team.
I think everyone knows how much teamwork goes into a well oiled survivor machine... But I don't think it has quite clicked yet even a year later just how much teamwork has to play into a winning special infected team. It takes MUCH more coordination and work to get the SI to deal that 150 or more damage per attack, but when a team clicks very bad things wind up happening to the survivors. Just look at what happened when we coordinated on the Parish bridge, Wraith. THREE of us took out the survivors in one short attack (I don't count my boomer because he just got to spit on the hangers after the fact) right out of the gate. Everything clicked. Everything happened simultaneously. And they died immediately. THAT'S how a good SI team does it. They don't have one SI attack, then another, then another... That will let you watch the survivors make it to the safe room / escape vehicle every single time.
I see people saying "give me X over Y any day" or "This SI is ok, but it's the other one that needs serious work!" You miss the point. SI W, X, Y, and Z, TOGETHER make up the attack. And together they can do Bad Things (tm). By themselves they are ALL shit.
