if any of this "in vs it's so much harder" junk was even remotely true, then more than 5% of the population would have things like survival gold badges and expert badges.

Feel free to prove me wrong, and who me how disrespcting the AI, thinking they're stupid, they're predictable, and they're easy works out for you.

sure as hell didn't work out for walker, talking huge game above, or kanati, or winter last night. Every time we lost a map, it was at the hands of some punk jockey, charger, or smoker. fucking up our pacing in the events. And hurting us.

Simple mistakes like standing in the open, packing shotguns and melee weapons at the same time, and getting ahead or behind the group.....and we lost time and time again, and again, and again.

It sure would be nice if walker, or kanati, or winter would testify as to the plethora of pipes and molotov's we had last night on carnival's 4th level.

"they're everywhere"....right?

Let's see you do anything more than tag along and get lucky, shark. Get all 5 completions (and the actual credit for it...not simply an excuse about how you sacrificed yourself to let others pass).

otherwise, it's just all talk. I absolutely guarantee none of you are going to get all 5 completions playing the way you normally play. overlooking the little things is why, when we get to the event, we have 1 pipe, instead of 3, and are doomed to fail.

Pipes and molies? There were plenty of them. Or there were none (and rarely anything in between). Did the charger fuck us up that time and take out 3 of us? Sure, cuz it punched two people who had nil health and charged Winter. How did we get to the red? CI. They hit harder. But how many times did I take out that Spitter on the platform because it spawned in the same place every time? How many times did someone get hit by that smoker on the platform because no one learned after the first time that it'd be right at that spot every time and keep an eye on it?

I don't dispute that Expert is difficult. If it was easy, we'd have beaten it before your Wendy's burger showed up. I DO say that the AI is dumb and the Specials aren't nearly effective.. they just get lucky too, and we get unlucky (like running to the spot the charger was slated to spawn, so that it spawned right on top of us before starting the carosel.. and it would have spawned there regardless). Expert is challenging in different ways from VS.

The difference being, in all this argument.. us "VS" players aren't affraid to come to the "other side" and play Coop. We just preffer VS.. but you talk to us of VS like you know anything about it.. and you've played it what.. twice, maybe, in L4D?

I'll tell you what. Any time I'm around and can play (and am not already in a game) I'll join you and help you get those awards. I don't care if I get them myself. I'll play tank bait, meatshield, whatever it takes to get you your awards.. the "What are you trying to prove" and the "Read Deal" stuff.

Then you come, put your money where your mouth is, and show us VS punks what you know.. and get some awards that *I* think are cool, like "Scattering Ram" and "Great Expectorations" and those awards.

I care about beating expert coop, and getting the badge.

Lying...and I mean straight up lying...when we spoke about this IN GAME....about the availability of pipes and useful items on the last level I played with you guys....is just dishonorable. We beat our heads against a wall for hours, regardless of the 2nd level's uibiquitous placement of pipes and molies. We get to the 3rdm and 4th...and there's nothing left. And we lose.

Making up shit here about how easy it was, when in reality, none of you guys performed at the level of your trash talk.....is just dishonorable.

I'm not here talking trash about how great I am in vs. Fuck vs. I'm talking, and proving, each and every time you guys connect to play with me, that you aren't good enough to beat the game on expert.

NOTHING matters.....NOTHING.....in coop other than beating the level. Because we wasted health by moving slowly when we needed to move fast, moving fast when we needed to move slow, and standing in the open, getting slapped to death by meaningless hordes that never should have been alerted in the first place.

All you guys are doing is making my point. VS players aren't good enough to get their expert badge. You can't do it. So you make excuses as to why you stop trying.

Oh please. Now you're going to do the same by saying there werent times when we found scads of pipes? Like I said. There were times when we found them everywhere.. like before the carosel, yeah? Or are you conveniently forgetting the attempt we made where you and I stayed in that room and launched spare pipes over the fence while the other two ran the carosel? Or times like it? There were times when they were plentiful, and times (within the same maps on different attempts) when they were scarce. Just as I said.

And did I say it was easy? Are you READING what I write?

I also notice how you conveniently forget that you made a multitude of mistakes that cost us completion attempts too.. and of course blame it on us "vs boys".

Whatever, I don't give a shit. I had a good time making the attempt and would have stuck with it as long as it took, but perhaps I hold you back being a "VS boy" and ruin your perfect gaming. Thus you should be inviting people who are much better that don't play VS, yeah?

Funny how when we say we like VS better, so we play it, we're pussies, but when you say you like Coop better and so you WON'T play VS, it's the moral "high ground" and a matter of principals.

and for those of you that are going to "step up" and stick it to bigdog...I truly hope you do.

because I KNOW that once you get all 5 completions under your belt......with the weeks and/or months it's going to take, game after game, excuse after excuse, mistake after mistake.......that you'll play just like me, and get pissed about the same seemingly innnocent mistakes that keep getting us all killed hours later.

3 pipe bombs, instead of 1 (or none).

50% health on all players, rather than hoping pills are going to get us trhough, if we even have those.

laser sights, and appropriate side arms, rather than goofing around with chainsaws and ninja swords.

you're the one who says I need to come to vs to learn how to play.

Make all the excuses you want. Talk it up like a bunch of TF2 and CSS competitive clowns. I could care less. Bottom line, I'm not interested in my skill level in vs, so I don't portray myself to be good at it. If you aren't interested in your skill level in real deal expert coop...then why are you in this thread? do you see me in the vs threads talking about how much harder it is to be human than SI? do you see me talking about the nuances and delicate touches it takes to be a smoker or spitter? Or the patience of a hunter to be effective? Or boomer placement?

Instead, I mind my business, you guys come in here, talk about how you must be good, because you play versus. And....I simply prove that's not true.

Sure, you might be good at versus. Maybe. Perhaps. I have no idea, since we don't keep scores like that in coop.

but it's damn straight guaranteed you guys aren't good enough to beat the game on expert. Facts.

feel free, AFTER THE FACT, to point out such things.

mistakes like what? throwing pipe bombs in the wrong places, which actually put MORE zombies on top of us, rather than less? I'm the one that did that? Or yall did?

Mistakes like what? not finding the gas tanks we need, or placing them in the wrong place? Or not finding the extra med kits, or pipes we need? How many did I find, and how many did you find (as a team against me, if you wish).

Sure, FF happens. I stepped into someones shot because I turned, they were ducked right on me, I didn't see them, and when I stepped forward to get a shot on bunni's smoker, I got blasted. A rare occurrence, and a mistake I most certainly admitted in-game, and even apologized for. And I'm also out shooting (typically) every one of you nearly 2:1 on CI's and SI's. fighting my ass off, waiting for you guys to step up. Frag's about the only one I've found yet that even holds his own, and he does that at great risk (and admitted he was a bit reckless when playing with me, I suppose to show he's a badass).

you guys....you don't even know what you're doing wrong. you jsut do it, and think it's normal. We're all moving to the left side, to AVOID alerting things, and one of you decides you're going to go off on a tangent, and shoot 3 ro 4 zombies for no reason at all. No reason. And then get injured, or worse.

I'll let the badge do the talking now. that's the guantlet. That's the challenge. So go get it. Show me how what you learned in vs is going to help you beat the game in expert.

I can talk all big and bad here, because thinking vs tactics and skills are going to be anything but worthless...if not actual liabilities to the team....is ridiculous.

I play what games I'm invited to if not already in a game or have formed a lobby. I played coop lastnight because you invited me and I was available to play. had you came on earlier while we had been playing VS, I wouldn't have. I helped frag with his Dark Carnival the other day because he sent me an invite the second I came online.

I specifically joined you, not to stick it to you, but because YOU want the badge, and so I was there to help you get it, as I have repeatedly offered to do. I could give a shit whether or not I get it, but it matters to someone on my team (the L4D/L4D2 community), so I do what I can to help it happen.

I play this game, VS or Coop, because I love the game. Those moments lastnight when you were all, "God, I love this game!"? Yeah, I was right there with you, in the same adrenaline rush.

And I am NOT some Benadorf "out to spit in bigdog's eye" prig trying to stick it to "the man", whether you wanna believe it or not.
