Re: L4D Blog: WEEK 12
So now that it's official and coming out really late it's good. The same something you want coming out in mod form really early is bad. Gotcha.

Re: L4D Blog: WEEK 12
You don't want to play the "pure" or "vanilla" form of the game, Kanati - you want to play the "easy" form of the game. I'm pretty sure that if they made Healthpackalypse a permanent mutation, you'd still find some way of saying that the developers aren't playing the game the way the developers intended it to be played.
For all your talk about "the way it's meant to be played", Valve sure does seem to be doing a good job of feeding you your own words... albeit at a snail's pace.

Re: L4D Blog: WEEK 12
healthpackalypse becomes a permanent part of the game I won't play it. Same way I won't play survival. Same way I don't play co-op very often. Same way I don't play most of the mutations. Fixing issues with vanilla and/or realism vs like the tank spawning on fire and such is one thing. JUST because it's in the game from valve doesn't mean I have to like it. Nor, just because there's a FEW things in confogl that I might like, do I have to like it as a whole.

That's his M.O. He waits to see what the general consensus is about a game or an aspect of the game, then takes the exact opposite argument and claims he just "speaks his mind". It's one of his charms and you learn to get used to it. At least then there's always a devil's advocate.

L4D Blog: Mutation Breakdown
With the first dozen Mutations out we wanted to take a minute and talk about the Mutations.
Overall the Mutations and weekly polls have been a great success and an amazing way for us to get feedback from the community. Don’t worry we still have more Mutations coming and we will also be tweaking and bringing back some of our favorites.
The idea behind the Mutations was simple. Left 4 Dead 2 is played by many different players and types of players. Some players have 300+ hours played in almost daily games and some players only play in weekly casual games with friends. We wanted to create weekly events that mixed up the game rules to experiment with gameplay and made people look at the game in new ways.

Re: L4D Blog: WEEK 12
And it's so charming the way you and others act like you know anything about me. I make my own decisions about the games I play, and if that means my decisions and opinions aren't the same as yours... oh well. I tend to be very critical of the games I play (and most other aspects of my life, including myself), and that's just how I am.
I do enjoy watching you and others play internet amateur psychoanalyst, though.
