Realism VS was once just a mod... Kanati loves that one.
But what the hell is wrong with trying to make it where a tank can't completely obliterate a game? What is wrong with one simple change to make things better? Just because it isn't an official thing that the company uses (even though that would still mean them modding the game) you hate it? Gah...

Go for it. Do it. SOMEONE... Likely blitz being blitz (he's crafty and finds things most of us don't think about... it's a compliment... shut up.) will find a way to exploit it. Mark my words.

right, but id rather just have one person exploiting that.
Then every team keeping the elevator door's closed while the tank burns XD

In the long run that confogl has been around, nobody has had problem with players lighting the tank because they knew where it spawned in. The only true pre-light spot was on Parish level 2 where the tank spawns during event. You could throw a molly up on the building and most of the time the tank would climb into it without knowing it was there, and even then it wasn't a pre-light because you can avoid it if you know it is there.

Exploiting what, exactly? Tank spawns in the exact same position for both teams, right down to the coordinates. Tank is also "stunned" and immune to everything before a player takes control and the player has a few seconds of immunity to fire to ensure there's no pre-lighting.
If you're not interested in running Confogl, I think there's a mod out that's somewhat similar to it, without removing things like tier 2 weapons and stuff. I think it's specific to realism VS, though. Called SRS, I think.
