Thread: Why cant you use your melee when you go down?

Seriously, that would be awesome. You can clear the horde around you easily when you go down, and it also makes having a melee more of a niche weapon instead of everyone having one (by sacrificing your down pistol, you can clear horde better but not rescue others as easily)

My quess is because if you were down and hoarded, you could practically fight it off and stay alive alot longer then with just a pistol. So deaths would be less common and the urgency of picking up someone's who's boomed would not be a big deal anymore. Would be pretty awesome though to pistol whip the zombies though!

Better question is if you are going to carry a melee and have to have a pistol for when you go down, why can't it be a deagle?

Why can't you go just Knee the zombie and they all die. Knee of Justice style.

Why the Eff are you using a pistol when you are down on the ground. I mean, if I was laying on the ground, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't grab for my pistol over that ak... =p

I'm speaking merely from a gameplay standpoint

Or, better yet, why can't you stand yourself up? Once somebody helps you up, you can get around fine. Even climb and jump over stuff. Yet you can't stand up on your own?
