My new pet peeve is people who need you to tell them exactly where you are...
when you get pinned. If you get jockied/hunted/charged/smoked right next to someone, you shouldn't have to tell them where you are. Use your ears, use your eyesight, it's not very hard.

When you're boomed, or horded, it's hard to see others. I understand with skill and experience you overcome this. But not everyone is so skilled.
You can say, team flashes piss me off.
But saying, that idiot didn't prefire every corner.
That is unfair, those come with playing the game and learning.

I am with knee on this one. you should know the general location of where your team mates are, at all times. yes you may not have their exact location when a boom or charger gets you but knowing which direction to instantly begin the search shouldn't need to be asked.
also I have noticed a lack of calling out when your hit and where you are. This should be the first thing out of your mouth. Twice tonight alone people didn't call out their hit until they realized it was not going to be instantly dealt with. That is precious hit points wasted.Last edited by ATEXANnHISGUN; 07-31-11 at 12:59 AM.

When boomed, horded or being chased by another SI it is not easy to know where everyone is all of the time. Especially if they are jocky'd away, or the sv trying to rescue you is boomed. Communicating where you are is key in those situations. If your team doesn't know where you are how can they save you
Did I say that or was I just thinking it?

Only time I start going into multi-sentence descriptions of where I am is after I said something like "hunted back through door" and waited a few seconds maybe till the 10x tick amount when I realize no help is coming.... then I start describing in detail how to get to me....
regardless of my ramblings, if it gets to that point most likely I am dead and I start feeling like I am the only one on my team that covers, cause the problem wasn't there when I was up.....-- Intentionally Left Blank --

Know where you are and your positioning to other survivors so you can basically yell at the closest one when you get pinned. A lot of times you will probably have to be pretty specific when your team is boomed.

Rule one for L4D is always knowing where your team is. Every couple of seconds you should be looking at everyone of your teammates and getting a count. If your first in line and you turn a corner, stop and let the rest of your team go ahead of you so you know that everyone is keeping up as well. These little things are looked over by a lot of people(even the better Regs). And for the most part, the most dmg is done on a single person when someone is left behind(or when someone runs too far ahead).
Remember that L4D is a team game, not every man for himself, but you also have to remember that most people forget that. It's up to you to keep eyes on people and to keep watch. It's easy to get caught up in keeping yourself alive, and forget to check your team.
