Re: Wait...
I just want to see the text log from that game, because every person in that game I've spoken to hasn't said jack about a warning, official or otherwise. Without that, he can't be arguing with an admin, and with it being his first time on a TPG server he's not exactly likely to know who's an admin in the first place so it'd have to be an official warning for it to mean anything, not just the admin saying over VOIP to tone it down or something.
You weren't Buddy. He was pretty complimentary towards you, actually....though it's hard to tell, considering it was pretty barebones lol.

Re: Wait...
whether the guy had a valid reason to be banned or not should be brought up in the admin abuse section. then a proper investigation would be done into the logs.
since he didnt care to be unbanned whether he was right or not, the investigation was never put into place.

Re: Wait...
Ignorance of the rule doesn't make him immune from it. And what if a player was telling him not to? It's still a rule that he's breaking. The fact that it requires an admin to get him to stop shows his lack of respect for the players and the servers in general.
This idea comes up in css all the time. If players are warning a T that it is bannable to not follow the call and he doesn't care(aka "I do what I want"), and there's not admin present, does that make what he's doing any less bannable? No.

I kind of see a correlation to l4d and tf2 here... We kind of went through the same competitive vs fun arguments where a group wanted to take it seriously and micro manage the game with all these extra rules and config changes and it really sucked away the fun aspect of the game. What some of you need to realize is that while some of us might say we're playing to have fun, it doesn't mean that we aren't playing to win. But it also means that we aren't going to be completely critical of someone or some situation if it doesn't go according to plan.
I feel like all this talk of rankings and miniscule aspects of gameplay is really taking the game in the wrong direction. We should all be enjoying the time that we're spending in game.
Forgive any wrong words as this was typed on a phone. I would love to discuss this with someone from the competitive end of the spectrum though.

Re: Wait...
If that is the case then why didn't I get banned, from TPG altogether, when I made my uproar about the BC2 servers and saying, more or less, just that (without the laggy part). Was it because I came here about it? Because I was pretty heated against the actual rules of TPG and made some direct attacks.
Speed. I am speed.
