Recruitment

This has fallen off by the wayside for a few months, so I figured it should be rejuvenated... I think its safe to say that 90% of TPG games (if not more) are invite only. Thats not doing our job as regulars to bring in new people. New people sign up for the site. New people buy reserved slots (in other games). New people can become upstanding members of the community. I dont think we are doing our part to bring those people into TPG.

If there was ever a time to do it, it would be now with the current affiliation with the 20,000+ members of left4deadforums.com. Its time to bring in some fresh meat. Its time to welcome others into the L4D2 circle.

This starts with getting some games together where only 4 or 6 TPG regulars join and let the rest fill up with recruited members or random pubbers. There is a vast untapped resource out there that we are ignoring. Its time to bring some of them in and show them the TPG way.

So what I need are people willing to teach, willing to put up with players that arent accustomed to the TPG way. We need to teach them that way while also fielding legitimate tactical suggestions from these people. We need people that are looking out for the greater good of the TPG population.

If you are interested in involving yourself with some 'recruitment games', please post here. Thats really the only way we can get new players aside from convincing current members to try it out. Its time to reach out and capitalize on an untapped resource...

I've mentioned to a couple of TPG admins that TPG should start a school or training session for people who would like to learn new strats, develop better play tactics, & just simply improve in l4d2. Mentors can be assigned and player evaluation can be determined based on a registry form that members will have to fill out before they are able to participate. This should be a definite go!

Yeah I wanna play with some of those guys from l4dforums should we make a thread there for us all to introduce ourselves? Or what?
