It's like 5 miles from the Hilton and it's like $47/night for a single queen bed and $55/night for 2 full beds.
It's real close to plenty of restaurants, or if you really want to live on the cheap, they have mini kitchenettes with a microwave, fridge and sink...

sounds like my place for half a week, hows the public transportation in Dallas? would I be able to walk outside and get a cab or do i gotta call some cab company to have em come pick me up?

I'm sure you'd have to call a cab company. Hopefully as we get closer to Quakecon starting, we can get some carpooling and other strategic shit going on..

LOL - this keeps getting harder and harder to say no to.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond VIP member with a couple hundred thousand points...that means i could reserve a room in the same hotel as the event for free......fuck.

The bus system is fairly reliable. In certain areas, there are always cabs (like downtown, and the downtown hotels) but at that particular Studio 6... not so much. You'd likely have to call a cab. Pretty sure there's a bus stop close.

www.dart.org has a good utility to tell you what buses you'd need to take to get from one address to another.

well i live in houston and i plan on going so if anybody wants to split a room or something

i really think that the hilton wouldnt be a bad bet if u had 4 ppl staying there and splitting the 145 a night 4 ways

2 ppl sleep on the floor and 2 on the beds and the next night u switch!

Staying in the Anatole like I did last year. Got 4 going so gonna split 4 ways. spent one night in the Anatole one night last year and stayed up the rest of the time. This year I come prepared with money and friends! Damn hotel tax though. :5
