Question about getting in

I've never been to a Con before. How does one get it? Just show up and say I'm on the list? Or do they mail something to you?

I haven't gotten an email from QuakeCon in a while and was just wondering. I can't visit the site from work, so I have no idea what is going on besides what is posted on this site.

Oh and I might be able to come now. It's looking like my class dates don't start until after October, hopefully.

Sign up online and when you get there just check in. Takes less then 3 minutes to check-in with preregistration.

Registration isn't date specific unless you are bringing your pc.

I've got a question about this aswell
Register on the quakecon website then we do check-in at the event.
So as long as I have registered at the website I can get in?
and it says its free. is that for all days?
