Re: Games at QC
Hrmm...now you tempt me to load minecraft on to my laptop. I will have TF2, CCS, BF2, and most of my steam games loaded to roll with. Won't be able to do anything like BC2 from my laptop though.

Re: Games at QC
Whatever you do, if you run your games through steam make sure you update the night before, and can run EVERY game in offline mode. Also, keep steam in offline mode when you shut down, and don't plug in your network cable until AFTER you start team at the event. Steam has a great habit of updating THE NIGHT before Quakecon, and it is impossible to update at the event unless you tether. Also, if it starts to update, sorry, get a buddy to tether you and leave the tech desk alone, there is jack they can do for you. This is probably the most asked about problem we experience at the event... If you do start to update, I will laugh at you too just a heads up, gotta be prepared!

Remember, if you're using steam, to LOGIN to your steam account BEFORE you leave your house. Set it to REMEMBER YOUR CREDENTIALS. Then, once at quake con, PLAY OFFLINE (assuming we have no internet again). If you don't you will NOT be able to login to steam and NOT be able to play your games (even offline!)
