Thread: Slayed and banned.

Ok, so I don't understand how slaying someone for not going to the bombsite the admin said to go to is not admin abuse.

Here is what happened:

I had the awp, admin calls for everyone to go to B bombsite. We kill everyone but 1 player so I go short A and look down long A for the last remaining CT, next thing I know I'm being slayed. Then he says in (Admin) chat, "why didn't you go B" "I said go B".

Now, my response wasn't the best and I know that is why I got banned (I said "fuck you" after he told me why he slayed me). But when someone is abusing admin rights like that and telling me I have to do what he says when it comes to going to this bombsite or that....I don't think so, the ban is fine because if that is how you run your servers I wouldn't play on them anyways.

I don't recall the admins name but I was playing this morning (3/1/12) at approximately 2:30. Thanks for reading, hope that your admins change how they do things or they'll push more people away.

So, the admin says and this is almost quotable: lets smoke mid and then go to be through tunnels.

I had the awp so I sat back for a bit to try and pick off people going to B site. Obviously from my chat logs you can see that I wasn't being a "lone hero" or "rogue" player because I was communicating with my team saying "2 b" or "3 b". Correct?

Ok, so anyways...I see that my team is now on ramp headed into B tunnels so I jump down and follow a bit behind them. My team cleans up the CT's and there is 1 left. My friend, who I joined the server with, said the last one was Long A. Seeing as he was the only CT left I went Short A instead of B tunnels (confident that the 4 other T's that went that way could plant the bomb without any CT's opposing them) and tried to pick off the last CT. Then I got slayed and scolded for not doing what the admin says? I'm all about playing as a team and doing the strat...but there was 1 left....1 guy. We had 4 or 5 left, did you die or something and rage because you saw me in bombsite A?

Anyways, I mean no disrespect and wish you all the best, but there was definite admin abuse and I wouldn't return to your servers even I was unbanned. Have a good one.

That's fine. It's your server and you can run it how you see fit. I was just stating that I was slayed for not being a team player when it was not true. You quoted me and responded to the points in my conversation that you thought you had a decent retort to. How about my well made points? I was not blatantly disregarding the admin, I played as a team and even communicated....as at team player should. What about what happened do you not understand?

Anyways, temp ban/perma ban it doesn't make a difference. I know that you won't miss me and all that stuff, but your attitudes are poor when it comes to the player base on your server.

You're correct, and I already stated that my response in the server was in poor taste and immature. Though it is not an excuse I was just surprised when I got slayed and what the reasoning behind it was. I can admit when I'm wrong as I did, and I'm sorry for the "fuck you", but I stand by the fact that besides that I did nothing wrong. The round was almost over, our team had won, there was ONE CT LEFT, and I went after him knowing that we had secured the win. I was wrongly slayed and rightly banned.

No I won't be back, and it's not to try and get to you. Just like you guys have a certain way you like to run your server I have a way I like to play. I'm a team player and used to be into CS competitively (CAL-M and attended 2 CPL events) so I understand where you guys are coming from and why you have the rules you do, I just think you take it too far and that's just my opinion. I have a couple of other servers I enjoy playing on but it was down the night my friend and I connected to your server.

The only reason I came here in the first place was because in my opinion I believe the admin abused his powers, obviously it was unlikely that his comrades would agree with me but I just wanted to be heard.

Good luck with your servers and I sincerely hope they continue to bring in a good player base.
