Unprofessional Admin :/

On 4/28/2015, due to complaint after complaint in game about the base on the airfield, a couple groups merged and took it down. Considering most servers don't allow bases on the airfield I decided to contact an admin to let them know the base was down so if they would like to put down a jammer or block the area they could. I spoke with this admin, Rooster, in team speak and he told us if we had a jammer, go ahead and drop it. Banana logged in shortly after and was able to get the jammer down until admins decided how to block the building.

After logging out for roughly 45 min, I return to the server and the second I log in, Rooster is in game under the name Fox Molder FBI, telling the entire server in side chat who took the base down. Announcing it was "The guys with the big tall tower." Granted there is only one really ridiculously tall tower on the server so it isn't hard to figure out. That's beyond unprofessional when someone comes to you in TS, discussing a matter to be dealt with as an admin and then you jump into game and announce it? That's basically saying, it's them...go attack.

Within 5min of Rooster telling the server who took down the base, Ray C. (owner of the base taken down) pops into our TS channel and says he's been told we were the ones who took down his base. Not only was he told that by an admin but he was then sent to our channel? Yes, he could have come to our channel on his own but not without knowing our names as some are quite different than in game. Things like this make trusting admins very difficult.

There is another group that was on the server at the time this happened that saw it as well and joined our channel to warn us about what the admin was doing. If you'd like, you can speak to them as well.

So.....you spoke with a player about taking out a base. Said player then told the truth to other players when asked who did it?

Was admin chat used? Were you kicked or banned? I am failing to see where an admin did anything unprofessional.

I spoke to the admin in Team Speak as an Admin...not in game. He then entered the game and announced in side chat what was discussed. You don't see that as unprofessional?

Dalynn,

Why do you think that the admin you spoke to in team speak entered the game as "Fox Molder FBI"? I'm assuming from you not answering what Loki asked, that all that happened in the chat was a player named "Fox Molder FBI" posted that your group was the one that destroyed this building, is this the case? Was this said in the game's admin chat, or just the general chat?

Also, who all was on teamspeak when you talked to Rooster, were there other players there that could've over heard this? Maybe something was said in game chat that pinpointed your team, which is where "Fox Molder FBI" got their information, or maybe Rooster is "Fox Molder FBI".

In this claim the most important things that need to be known are this though:
1) Why do you think the player "Fox Molder FBI" was Rooster? What evidence do you have of this?
2) There was another group on this whole time, maybe they saw something, and it was one of them, have you thought of other possiblities?

Note, I'm not trying to say your claim is automatically invalid, but, I want to make sure we have the entire story and situation. Your story's weakest point to me, is that you are assuming "Fox Molder FBI" is Rooster without any evidence except you talked to Rooster in TS, and then this player claimed it was "the group with the big tall tower". If you can give reason/evidence of equating Rooster with Fox Molder FBI then there may be something to look into, without that, I feel like you have no claim.

Rooster plays as Fox Molder FBI, he has for a while and the other admins can back me up on this. One of the other admins told me to post here about the incident. As for TS, we were the only two in the A3 help channel at the time of the discussion.

I completely understand the questions and I will gladly answer them. Thank you for the help.

Dalynn. When You messaged me I was afk and was in afk Teamspeak status in whatever channel I was in. If i was in the A3 help channel, it was not to my knowledge. You know how TS pokes work, they are the first thing that you see, and you have to clear the window to restore ts functionality. So I read it, congratulated you and then went on my merry way to play the game.

When the party that owns the base logged on, they asked who did it, and I did indeed say something along the lines of "The people in the large skyscrapers." That is when they joined TS and asked if I had anymore info. I told them to ask around for themselves. I believe Ray left the channel and went to talk to you. I don't know what he said or asked but he came back confident that you guys were responsible.

Now if I take a step out of my own shoes. I see your point. In fact if I think about it, I do believe that you were messaging me to inform an admin of something. But again, I did not make the connection initially. It is now when you bring it up, that I realize that I may have crossed the line.

This game is a hard one to administrate. Especially for someone like me, who has 100's of hours invested into it as a player. There is a very fine line between Admin and player. It is my responsibility to know where the line begins and ends and never to cross it.

I apologize if what I said in side chat harmed you or your group. I will do my best in the future to clearly distinguish the line and to not cross it.

We exchanged a conversation while you were in A3 help. Yes, the initial poke would have popped up but that wasn't the end of the conversation. I respect that you apologized but I do not accept the excuse. For the sake of the server, try harder than the last two times. That would truly be appreciated.

loooooooooool doesnt seem hard to recognize when someone is speaking to you as an admin or a player, especially if youre talking in the teamspeak admin help channel. might as well just say you blew it and apologize and hope that's the end of it haha. just my point of view of course.

sorry I didn't know offering an opinion is derailing the process, you weren't a witness to the incident so I guess you should say sorry too? I wonder what our punishment will be, eek.

btw you took my perfectly normal and sane post and 'derailed the process', not sure why.
