Got kicked/Banned for Sniping an Admin?

Not sure what happened but I know for sure I didn't shoot down any friendlies...last person I sniped was some guy named upstrik0, he had just respawned when I noticed him just standing there so was an easy kill :)...then a few seconds later after someone killed me I was banned!!! Grrr! I this some admin misusing they're privileges?

I can tell you that person is not an admin, though. Are you sure there was nothing else to the ban? What was the message you got when you were banned?

A - this is the wrong forum to be bringing this post.

B - read the ingame messages, I warned you explicitly multiple times to join a squad as I have several times in the last few weeks.

C - I kicked you once for not being in a squad that particular game.

D - I wrote "AURAMAXIMUS YOU WERE KICKED ONCE FOR NOT BEING IN A SQUAD, NEXT STEP IS BAN"

E - followed by "AURAMAXIMUS YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET A 30 MINUTE BAN IF YOU DON"T FIGURE OUT HOW TO JOIN A SQUAD VERY FAST:

F - Finally, I wrote - "TAKE 30 MINUTES OFF TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO JOIN A SQUAD, THEN YOU MAY RETURN, MULTIPLE WARNINGS AND KICKS GIVEN"

So, after the above, do you still feel this is a case of misuing my privileges?

You've played this server enough to know what is expected as a TEAM player. You know how lone wolves are viewed. You were warned explicitly multiple times.

In the previous game I thought i had been invited to a squad and that I had joined but apparently not...so i was kicked then i logged back in and played 2 more rounds in a squad....then I was banned for excessive team killing.

This was a 30 minute ban to get your attention since all my previous warnings and kicks were apparently not working. It seems we now have your attention.

You must join a squad each round. On this server, it does not carry over from round to round.

The game can ban you on its own for excessive team killing. I was not involved with that.

If there is nothing further, you have approximately 5 or 10 minutes left before you can rejoin the game. Go read the forums for a few minutes then come back to the game, AS A SQUAD MEMBER.

You may not have seen me but I was playing as a team player...maybe I wasnt in a squad and thought I was....but I only got one prior notice the 1st time u kicked me...it was very noticeable...but I didn't see any other warnings that u stated before u banned me...so idk what to say...its not a misuse of privilege at all that u kicked me but i thought it was a different case as I stated above...

One other thing that few people seem to realize is that the Punkbuster message that is displayed when you are kicked/banned, something along the lines of "You were kicked as the result of a successful kick vote, excessive team killing or by admin decision," could mean any one of those things. In this case, it meant the third option.

Something similar to this happened to me in a different server when I just accidently killed a freindly with a walker :-\ lol...it was the 1st and only incident and i was permanently banned
