Thread: General Complaint of Admin Abuse

Greetings guys,

Its Reload! Most of you guys know me and my g/f Ms. Death. We have regularly been playing on TTP for about 5 months now on virtually an everyday basis. We have made many friends and get along great with everyone. With the exception of one individual. I don't know who it is but I have my suspicions. This person obviously has RCON ability but doesnt have ban/kick ability. Nonetheless, they are openly rude and obnoxious and have the server rule interpretation of a complete buttwipe.

For example, AS SOON AS WE LOGGED ON last night, having NEVER seen this guy cop1991 before in our lives, he immediately says something derogatory about me and my g/f. So, because he was talking trash, I muted him. Which I find to be the completely mature thing to do since #1. it is in the game for such reasons and #2 he obviously didnt have anything nice to say.

The very next round, although I killed 3 or 4 of the enemy by myself, I get an insulting console message that said: ADMIN: You would have known the call was B Reload if you hadn't muted cop1991.

I just chuckled at this but, the abuse continued in the console with various insults. Eventually, several big name admins joined and one of them I believe sided with the person in question. No big deal. I just let it go, dont say anything out of respect for the admins and the community.

TODAY, cop1991 is on again and AGAIN, the bs console abuse arises. I have been on this server for a great while and have played along side many admins and have NEVER been reprimanded for spec hopping to get cash. We do it, they do it...everybody does it. The only time its punished is if its either a legit CAL match OR if such is posted in the MOTD which is NOT on the server. Nonetheless, I did it one time and got the console message: ADMIN: Spec hopping for cash is not tolerated and is punished here.

Again, I utilize my adult ingrained maturity and keep my mouth shut. I just abide. The straw that broke the camel's back is when this person tells a guy who went to spectator mode to go use the bathroom(which is a whole hell of a lot more thoughtful than just being afk) is there for a mere 2 rounds and the console command comes up: ADMIN: Crackhead get in or get out

Now, I can understand that the servers are VERY busy and people are waiting in line to get on BUT..A. what is spectator mode for? and B. if the guy is in spec..does he even see that message? Seriously guys, my g/f and I love playing on your server but it IS a PUB. I'm not saying by any means to change your server rules..they are there for the well being of the community and I respect that. I AM saying that I have ALOT of ppl in my steam friends list AND my g/f plays in CAL. We have a very strong repetoire for word of mouth. Dont construe that as a threat because I have been an admin for many servers and I know such things are laughable. What I'm saying is that someone has delegated powers to someone who doesn't know how to use them and therefore doesn't deserve them. I feel this warrants investigation b/c I am not the only person who has complained about this individual.

Please check into it and keep the great servers up and going.

On a side note, both Ms. Death and I were considering donating to the servers but since this individual has surfaced we are reluctant to do so.

It looks like you have a complaint to address but I don't think threatening them with you running your mouth off is going to get you anywhere. Adding in that its not a threat, when it is, might not help either.

Edit: sorry posted when it was in another forum. My comment was about wondering why someone would say they had alot of power via word of mouth and CAL...then say that is not a threat. If my tone or words were inappropriate i apologize. I did say they had something to address.

spec'ing for cash isnt permitted, i know that for a fact. just figured id let ya know :)

ok so maybe specin for cash isnt legit and if that's the case i will stand corrected. also, i never said that death and i would have a pity parade with huge signs that says texas team players have unfair admins that twist server rules to their liking...i was saying that we know alot of people and those people know we are ALWAYS on pubbing in TTP..they will ask why we stopped...the fact is, i dont believe that a single individual has ever had a problem with me as a player in this pub EVER and in fact, i do believe some people have even said they joined the server b/c death and i were on..what i am expressing here is that i was unfairly criticized and threatened by someone with admin powers because i was INSULTED as soon as i clicked counter terrorist and decided to do the peaceful thing and mute this person (cop1991) who, to my knowledge, is new to the server. does not my consistent participation and bragging to other players about how good the server is not merit any respect? :4

He's just making the upper admins aware that there is a problem w/ someone who has been given admin powers on the CS:S servers. We logged on last night and cop immediately started dogging us out about our names..........when reload muted cop on the server, Reload continually was harassed by an "admin" about muting cop (didn't know that was illegal in the game....). This continued into the next map as well, while reload and I remained calm the entire time, not responding to the admin's comments. I finally commented halfway through the next map because I had had enough of the harassment from this admin for DOING NOTHING WRONG. We were just in there playing and having fun as we normally do and then get harassed for playing there and muting a few people in our player list who are being assholes???? We weren't the only players complaining either. Several other "regs" were being harassed as well. I've never had a bad experience playing on the servers until the past two days. Everyone on the server has been awesome to play with and I particularly have liked the fact that most players there don't throw sexist comments toward me for being a female player. However, it just takes one player to make a server an unenjoyable place to be. Please investigate this problem.

i agree with you guys, you're doing the right thing . just keep it mature and im people are already looking into it.

I dont want to be nosy or anything like it, im not familiar with any member of the party, i dont even know them, i dont even play CSS, i been reading and analyzing their post, and all i can say is that they got a good point, and a nice developed thread.
This is nothing against cop1991 but reload and ms.death have a really good point in this.
Whoever that disagree needs to read the post over and over again.
I have no idea how old they are, but i dont care, age has nothing to do with behavior and matureness, what a nice developed post.
Mature people, all i can say they are.
Players like this kind is what we need in our community instead of being threat like scum.

They have a complaint and they have enough reasons to back it up.
I would like to see the opinion from the judged party.
