I got on Xfire last nite to find out that 2 of my clan mates were in the TTP server and we not very happy..
They had there rates jacked with ( we all pretty much use rate 22000, cl_updaterate 101 , cl_cmdrate 101 or @ least close) , and an admin was using the ma_cexec play drop commands on them { I've done it ALOT of things to them so they know what to look for ;) }
They stated they were following rules and behaving..
So why were these things done ??

the only admins with the power to change their rates are me and sjt. Netiher of us played last night with any of your clan mates, and certainly did not alter their rates.

be more careful with who you accuse.

in addition to our rate commands setting rates to the maximums allowed on the server......if their rates were touched....it certainly would not being something they would notice.

As far as them following the rules arctic, we had some reports of RIP oh or XXX being out of line, camping and not helping the team. He needs to be on notice that we're watching him, as we do things a little different here, we highly HIGHLY support team play, and I've noticed him myslef being last in line and camping etc....he will run into trouble with our admins if this style of play continues, I dont want to be a dick about it, just being upfront with you :)

About the rates I wasn't on last night and certainly didnt touch anyone's rates. We do alter rates from time to time if they are extremly out of line, but nothing was done by us last night.

Why do you keep your update and cmd rates so high? What do you feel you gain?

On another note, we've been noticing all the good work and time YOU put in on the server and as an admin, we really appreciate all your imput. We may have some bisiness with XXX but please dont let that discourage you, we appreciate you being here and like you and all your buddies just fine.....even XXX is a cool guy, we just need to get him with the team program....

big you need to relax I wasn't accusing I was asking :)
Wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers just wondering, sorry if it came off wrong..
Because both of the memebers in my clan KNOW when things are run on them..
Ie; someone does a drop and someone on the server did a unbound walk a few times, on Fuhrer- Ex as well as being done to Oh ..
Then they were talked to in Admin speak along the lines of we are watching you..
Again, not accusing anyone of anything this is just what I was told..
Are there any admins that can do those commands ??
I belive your using mani , is there a way to look @ the logs to see if anything was done :)

I know the admins here are good and I was just following up on what was said to me :)
I'll have a little talk with Oh and remind him of the rules and what to do :)
He knows about the rules and why I picked this server to play on ALOT..

about the rates,
default rates are setup for default server.. i.e. tickrate 33
if you change the tickrate to 66 or 100
then you should change your cl rates as well
If you adjust those rates you are in tune with the server, sending the correct ammount and recieving the correct ammount :)
There is a few 100 tickrate servers I've played on and a few of our members just leave their settings tweaked for that as you cannot get any updates higher than the server tickrate anyways..

If anyone doesn't follow the server rules they deserve what they get :)

Like I said before, it is not possible for any other admins to even see players rates (using the ma_rate command), much less change them. I can absolutely guarantee for me, and sjt, that we did not alter any movement buttons, and probably not drop or fire command rebinds on these individuals. Certainly not against ANYONE with a RIP tag. We only do this to people on the verge of being banned or serious touble makers, and we rarely forget who we do it to. I personally haven't set rates for peopel in a long while.

And again, the only admins with access to client commands, as listed in the sticky, are me and sjt. It is not possible for any other admins to run client commands, period. They are dangerous, they can really fuck up people's configs, and they are a shitstorm for admin abuse accusations.

In addition, I also don't believe it is possible for your boys to know if, when, and from who a command was run to alter their settings. I'm having a hard time believing any of this. Really, you should get them to come by and register so we can talk about it if necessary.

About connections...we are a 66 tickrate server, and we have updated our servers rate setting allowances to reflect that, and the recommendations of the host, AoW. (in the server.cfg).
