I'm not reporting abuse just a statement
Well I was on ttp server and someone every round was throwing two to three smokes at T spawn area to block the awpers looking at the doubles. I told him to stop it and told him that was banning grounds, but he still kept doing it until he left the server. I did send messages to admin after the first round he did it, but I guess not all admins read those messages.
I just want to make a point that admins need to pay more attention to what the players are saying in the admin chat because I knew idunn was treated harshly for taken matters in to his own hand. I tried to get admins attention and told him a few times, but still nothing no warnings, no kicks, no slay nothing. I guess the point I am trying to make is that if admins want us to fricken get there attention and not take matters in to our own hands they need to pay more fricken attention to what we type. I believe yall need to make a post into the admin forums about reading what the players are saying in the game. Yes you are a admin and yes it is annoying to read what people type to admin buh hell you accepted the admin job so do your job.
This being said even if idunn did complain to admin there is a chance that he would have been just ignored like I was. I'm not sure what admins were on, but yall can look up logs for that. It was yesterday during the day. I typed a few messages to admin telling the admin the name of the player and that he was throwing smokes in spawn to block the awpers looking at double doors, and he continued to do it a few rounds after and no message from admin ever appeared.
I guess this is posted here because there isn't a place to post about teaching admins. So I thought this is the most appropriate place because admins actually do look here occasionally. I do use the chat to admins when I need it, and I do not over use it, but most times I never get a response from the admin. This being said I think yall need to put more emphasis on what players type using the admin chat if yall want all server matters dealt with by admins.

Re: I'm not reporting abuse just a statement
GhostFace,
Thank you for posting your comments. We at TTP are always concerned with providing the best possible playing experience for any player, regular or guest who may join our servers. If you have played on our server for any amount of time, and I'm assuming with your 117 posts that you are a regular, then you know the lengths the admins go to when providing said environment.
With that in mind, please allow me to remind you that our admins are always monitoring the situation and while you may think an issue needs to be handled by an admin, the admin may disagree. Our admins are trained not to "jump" when someone barks at them. They do not use their admin status at the whim of any player, even a regular. To do so would invite countless scenarios in which admins are slaying, kicking and banning at the behest of a non-admin. As I'm sure you can agree, we will not allow that to happen.
With that in mind, please be aware we take all comments like this to heart and use these as opportunities to remind our admins that perception matters. We hope to see you on the servers. Good hunting.
Regards,
Ranger10

Re: I'm not reporting abuse just a statement
I respect the admins for taking the time to police this large community and yes I am a regular and have been here for a few years. One other thing to point out, the main reason I used the @ admin chat thing to let the admin know is because i do not believe there were any admins on the terrorist team at this point in time. I think the admins or admin was on the counter terrorist team.
The only thing I hope to get out of stating this is that the admins will be more aware of when players send them messages using the @ chat in counter strike source because this is apparently all we can do, or risked being banned because of foolish behavior in taking matters into our own hands.
As a regular and after reading what idunn went through I did not feel like bothering with trying to take the matter into my own hands.

Re: I'm not reporting abuse just a statement
Im not sure of this, but Im pretty positive there is no rule against buying smokes, flashes, nades in spawn, spamming a certain place, like a lot of cts do in spawn they will throw numerous flashes, nades up on short A. I've always known it as, as long as there is buy time left you can buy whatever you want as many times as you can.
But, If the player then just sat in spawn the whole time not following the call that is a problem.
Admin not, answering you back or replying to anything is another problem. Maybe there was no admin on?

Re: I'm not reporting abuse just a statement
There is no rule about spamming smokes, nades, or flashes. Definitely not a banning offense.
As long as you have the money and buy time left... It's game.
Also like Senses said, there might not of been a admin on.

Unless it was a fellow terrorist throwing smokes in his own spawn to prevent his teammates from picking (which I think was what ghost was talking about)

This one I could certainly see being a 'Grey Area' -- in that there are times smoking up spawn could be a good strategy for rotation cover. Based on your post it sounds like this was more of an intentional attempt to disrupt gameplay. I don't believe the admins would ignore you, and if no action was taken -- in the least it brings attention to the player in question.

I think if you had a screen shot of said incedent it would help pinpoint the wrong-doings.
