Hello all, I have played on your BF2 server many times, and really enjoy the team focus. I have a complaint, and it may be trivial, but has frustrated me. Recently playing on your server I was wrongfully kicked for tking someone for a vehicle, which I did not do in any way, neither did I cause any friendly fire. I was told why I was being kicked, and then kicked. I hadn't recieved any warning. I do understand mistakes happen, so I renetered and explained my situation and asked for an apology and was told to let it go. (Sorry, long winded i know.) After lodging my complaint I was kicked for not having joined a team. I had just entered, and had received no warning. I wanted to finish the game, and was kicked yet again for a high ping. This I admit was true, I was experiencing some odd lag.
The point I want to make is perhaps encourage a little more civil behaviour from the people with banhammers. Instead of kicking immediately for not joining a squad, ask the player to join one, or even ask a squad to send the player an invite. Everyone knows it's easy to miss the text if your busy with something. Also perhaps encourage your banhammer people to make sure the player has erred before kicking, by checking the event log or asking the apparent tker or his victim.
I would like to apologize again for the monologue, but I enjoy playing on your server and don't want people to be aggravated by things that can be rectified easily. If you find no basis for concern, or have never had any problems with any admins, then I apologize for wasting your time.

The thing that got me was the short amount of time before I was kicked, and that I was kicked immediately after my apology. I understand the team play rule being enforced, but it seemed a bit over zealous to me, and had I been warned I would have gladly joined a squad. It's why I play BF2 instead of COD4.

Okay, sounds good. I did make the mistake of asking the asmin who kicked me for the apology directly, which I now understand is frowned on (which is why i said no names in my post) and no one was rude, so I am sorry for that. Thanks for your time.

You were kicked, not banned, but kicked because you teamkilled at least one person on purpose. The reason you weren't banned is because the admin didn't see it as it occurred. Otherwise, this would have been much, much worse for you. A kick is designed to get your attention since it immediately removes you from the server and puts the message we want you to learn right in front of your face, so there can be no confusion.

Most people will simply return to the server knowing that admins are watching and they clean up their play.

Instead you returned to the server to make a long winded complaint in game instead of here on the forums where they belong. At that moment, you could have been banned yet again. So already, we have let you slide on two infractions.

So let me ask you, are we too hard on you, or too lenient?

I am aware that I was kicked and not banned. And I stand by not having tk'd anyone, I doubt that it was even possible that I did so accidently, as I was flying a blackhawk from the uncap around the uncap as per my squad leaders orders. At no point did anyone else even go near the blackhawk, as it was only my squad near it. I'd even encourage you to look at the log, and rest by that. As for my long winded complaint, I do believe I issued that formally here, where it belongs. In the game I did bring it up, which I have apologized for, here in the forum where it belongs. As for long winded I hardly believe so, I asked for an apology, repeated it, then was told by multiple people to let it go, which I did, jokingly saying my feelings were hurt. I then tried to continue my game, but was kicked before even getting a kill or death. So you did not "let me slide" on two infractions, and yes, I do believe that the administrator or administrators were too hard on me. I am not here whining and asking for your pitty, only asking that a bit more care for your players is shown, and if this is an isolated case than you needn't worry. If my ingame complaint was long winded, I wonder what you consider this ;D

Well as you have proved I was warned, which was fair, but it is easy to miss messages and i rest by my suggestion of asking a squad to invite the player, who may not be intentionally ingnoring the messages, and I had also not been in the game very long at all (barely over a minute actually, as proven by Amador +JP2+), which I have already stated, which led me to believe that it was because of my prior "offense." Also, I presume that since you looked through the logs and failed to mention anything about me tking that you didn't find anything. So I don't think I was stepping to far out of bounds being angry at that, because the admin was to busy playing the game when he/she should have been moderating more closely.
As a further note I have read up on your rules, and the only thing that I had done wrong was bring up my first kick in game, when I didn't know you had a moderator anonominity rule. On top of this I believe "new players" to your servers have the right to be suprised at being kicked for NOT tking.
I've become quite bored of people consistantly telling me I am wrong for bringing this up where your "modus operandi" dictates too, and everyone pointing out that I was kicked for tking (which I didnt do), and kicked for not joining a team (which I had only one minute window to do.) I have said my point, defended it, and now it is up to you to take it how you will. I'm bored of this and don't think I'm going to return to this forum. I don't intend to make a pariah of your server, and will see how things play out should I play in your server at a future time.
