With the European PS3 release date closing in I was wondering if anyone here has pre-ordered or has already got one? I pre-ordered mine yesterday from Amazon with them replying that it will arrive between the 27-29th of March. I didn't see the point in paying for P&P when I can wait a few days and save some money. I can't wait to play Motorstorm and Resistance.

The only thing about the PS3 that I'm waiting for in anticipation is for the price to come down. I make a shit load of money, but there's not so much as a snowball's chance in hell of me paying that much for a graphics card and a processor surrounded by a plastic box.

I probably won't be. It's a games machine without the fun of the Wii, boasting graphics which the PC had last year... :nope:

I'm happy with my computer, I haven't really seen any console games that've made me want to buy one.

I hardly use my PS2 anymore and like MercZ, I haven't come across any games yet that would make me want one.

I decided to get a xbox 360 instead. I did not see the sense in spending $300 more for the PS3 when the xbox does a great job.

ya, same here, i bought my xbox 360 last week and couldn't be happier...graphics on it are amazing and gameplay is seamless, ps3 may be better but is it $300 better? not on my income...

I won't get into it but 600 dollars for the hardware you get with a PS3 is well worth it. whether you want to swallow that or not is up to you

As for me, I will get one when I get my 1080p bigscreen. No sense in getting one now.
And for people who buy one without at least a 720p HDTV I laugh out loud.

I have a 360, quite a few PC's for LAN gaming and a Wii for odd fun.
I'm set.

Now if a new Twisted Metal comes out I will have to rethink...
