Wow, really? I don't think his brightness is all that high, perhaps you just need to adjust yours or get a new TV.

I never adjusted mine from the default brightness (in-game or on my tv settings) and the sewers aren't pitch black at all. I can see everything in them clearly.

I'd love to have the game that bright... just once though. But the thing I didn't like was the checkered Glass... wonder what the other flaws were.
