Atilla in UGC Highlander Playoffs

Hey all, I just thought I'd let anyone who cares know that my team, Self-Sustaining Mexican Cat Ranch (RANCH), managed to make it into the Season 6 UGC Highlander playoffs. For those who are unaware, UGC is a league that runs semi-professional highlander tournaments/competitions. Highlander is a game of TF2 with the teams locked to 9v9 with one and only one of each class. As you may have guessed, I play sniper for my team.

We're in the NA Platinum Division and going in at 7th place with a 6-5 record. We're going to be facing some of the best players in the game in the upcoming weeks and it will probably be a lot of fun. Our first playoff match is on Monday at 6:30 PST, I'll try to remember to post the Source TV details in the thread right before the match starts so anyone who wants to can watch. The match will be played on pl_upward which is a very interesting highlander map because every class can be really powerful in certain areas of the map. Snake Kryptonite/Chris is also in the playoffs on Team !bonus and if we both win our first 2 matches we will be facing each other in the semi-finals. I believe the format is single elimination with a loser's bracket for the semi-final losers.

If anyone is interested in seeing a match of highlander, salamancer (a well known tf2 shoutcaster/commentator) just shoutcasted a match my team played a few weeks ago on cp_steel. We went into this match 2-4 and the other teams was 6-0 if I remember correctly.

Hey, valve said not to spoil the next item update. Its the sniper backpack with a bunch of little platforms that allows other players to latch on.

I wouldnt worry if they faced off. It will be that classic case of every bullet they fire hits the incoming bullet of the other guy. No damage. Until a spy backstabs one of them of course

I am shocked that in competitive TF2 they still show who's alive on the scoreboard.

Chris plays scout for their team, though their actual sniper is quite good himself.

As to you others bemoaning my skill, it was cp_steel, there's only so much a sniper can do on that map. If he had shoutcasted one of our granary or viaduct matches, my position on the score board would be very different.

Also, if you watch the kill counter, I do get quite a few kills, he just was almost never watching me when I did lol.
