Surprise! That item is actually worth it
Take a deep breath, close your eyes and think back to the beginning of the new TF2. (at least leave your eyes open long enough to read this). With all the new items that have come out, what items have you looked forward too that met or exceeded your expectations once you got to play with them?

Re: Surprise! That item is actually worth it
Im a fan of the liberty launcher, the equalizer was crazy good when it first came out but they they dumbed it down (Took away colossal damage when your health was below 25). I havnt really been looking forward to stuff much but I think that on most of them they balanced the weapon really well for the class. There are a few that in the hand of an experienced player make them stupid hard to kill, Dead Ringer, and the toss able sandwich, its not easy to do 300 damage to a fatty when your close and him being able to take a second to increase his health another 150 was ridiculous. I am still surprised at how much people dislike the items. It dosnt take that long to recognize an item by its coloring/size/shape and many of the items are VERY similar to each other.

Re: Surprise! That item is actually worth it
I have heard many complaints but i think I gotta vote for the quick-fix. I was excited that new medi gun was coming out, finally got it, and thought, this thing blows. I then realized that it is most useful when your team keeps getting slaughtered and needs help shoring up choke points. Now that I know how and when to use it, i really like it. I hear complaints about "you gotta use a gun with a real uber, loser" but I think people forget the main use of a medic is to keep people alive and fragging. If you arent getting enough time to build an uber (which defeats the usefulness), then you need the quick fix to calm down the chaos.
