TF2 revival at TTP?

out of curiosity today i checked out steam stats to see how many people still played TF2... i was shocked to see tf2 was #2.

so any ideas to spark interest in tf2 again at ttp?

Having regs show up and encourage good team-play among the noobs?

I've been on the road for more than two weeks, but in the couple months before that I noticed an increasing number of players that were either new to TPG or complete noobs.

I think there is plenty of opportunity to get new server regs, but compared to most pubs a TPG server requires a bit more from a player.

We're here because we think the reward for our style of play is more than worth the effort. But I sometimes think we do a poor job of selling that to noobs.

I'll try to be on tonight; selling hard and sucking harder. Come pad your stats.

Il try and play tonight but iv got alot of stuff.. We need to get it primed with a good number of regs like 8-10 regs would be jawsome.

That went well.

People who said they'd show up showed up. Priming messages were sent. Friends invited.

Server primed up and was soon rockin'. There were a fair number of names I'd never seen before.

Most importantly: had fun.

Indeed, I may not have sounded like it but I was having fun

Its always nice to have some skilled competition/teammates. Iv been forced to random servers for the past week and its not really a challenge.

Filled up quite nicely tonight as well. Personally I think the key is to have a nice coordinated prime time, as opposed to having different people trying to prime it throughout the day and then getting tired of it by the time people hop on. But it seems that once we get beyond the initial threshold the server seems to keep on rolling.

Another success. Thanks to all who showed up (though I have no way of knowing if this post played any roll). We had more than just regs too; there were new names, one of which I think I saw earlier this week.

I'll try to be on again tonight.
