oh wow your right i just tried it, still i prefer the pistols over it, too much recoil on the deagle = w =. Though i must say deagle is very accurate when you are incapped, which i dont seem to understand how a deagle is more accurate than a regular pistol when you are incapped.

It's useless assisting the bots in this mode, because they'll be incapped again within 10 seconds, not to mention wasting every health pack and adrenaline shot in the short time between.

It took 7 restarts and 1hr 49 minutes. We've tried it with 4 players and failed miserably each time because of the reasons I stated above. All restarts were on the finale. Why am I a tool because I'd like a bit of a challenge? The mode is called realism, and if a zombie apocalypse were real, I can guarantee you won't come back to life in the next safe room.
It took 7 restarts? you mean you died? sounds like you're not an expert and need to tone it down.

Why should your team always take orders from you though? sounds as though you have a superiority complex and can't handle taking directions from anyone but yourself. Sounds like you're the problem. Not the solution.

Also, although yes no respawns would be more realistic, but can you imagine starting a finale with only 2 people? PREPARE FOR A SKULL-FUCKING. For game-play reasons at the current difficulty level that would be damn near impossible, and teams would instantly wipe their entire team should a single person go down so that they could start the level again with 4 people just to make it through with all 4 people.

it was in an IGN podcast interview a few weeks before the original's release. One of the hosts asked why they didnt allow deceased survivors to become infected. The valve representative stated, (something along these lines, it was a year ago, and this is from memory) that they would never do that because they had been stressing teamwork from the very first point in the game, both in development and when you start the game up, so they wouldn't make it so that all of the teamwork is gone as soon as you die, and the people who were helping you out were now trying to kill you. (major sentence run-on/fragment; too lazy to fix)

The podcast was called IGN command prompt, or control prompt, something like that

There's nothing that would make you better than a single mistake causing you to restart the entire campaign. It's possible and not very difficult to crown the witch as she runs at you. An expert would shoot her face the moment she got close enough. An expert might not have thrown that pipe bomb to begin with, since he had cover in the form of a shed and a decent choke point to slay the zombies as they approach.
    Ah, well, two points:

    1. The zombies weren't coming towards us. They were all out in the woods, just chilling, and I threw a pipe because there were extras.

    2. It can be hard to learn from a single mistake. That's why Valve took out the original feature that started a team from zero when everyone died.

Still, you're right that Realism should be hard. I just don't think it should be that hard, but I don't have experience in observing how well teams of less than four people can handle Expert. It just seems like there's too much luck involved.
