POLL: What is your mouse sensitivity?
This thread is going on in the CSS forum right now, but I'm curious what TF2er's use. This is basically two polls in one. There are 20 options above and you can choose one from the first 10 AND one from the second 10. The reasoning for this is that mouse sensitivity does not describe the whole picture, as other O/S mouse settings and mouse DPI come into play. The ultimate measure of sensitivity is how many inches you have to move your mouse to do a 180 degree turn in-game.
Now, an interesting thing about TF2 is that the different classes have inherently different sensitivities... at least it has always felt this way to me. No TF2 access now so I can't test it, but I always felt the scout turned faster than the soldier (to match his faster movement), even at the same setting for mouse sensitivity. Just so we're all on the same page, if you do decide to measure how many inches you have to move your mouse to do a 180... use a soldier. Now to make matters even more complicated... if you have mouse acceleration on, there is almost no way for us to get uniform measurement data. I just did a simple test moving my mouse from one end of my desktop to the other (again, no TF2 access), and I can do it with 2" of fast mouse movement, or 8" of slow mouse movement. If I try to do it at normal "medium" speed (a highly subjective term) I usually get 5.5-6". But if I turn Windows mouse accel off ("enhance pointer precision" in mouse properties), it takes me 4.5". So I guess if you do the "180 measurement" and you have acceleration on, try to do a "medium speed" measurement (whatever that is ), or turn your acceleration off (but if you do that you'll realize the game feels nothing like you're used to anyway).
If you have actually read this far and you do try to make a measurement, could you post BOTH numbers that you filled in the poll, so I can see how they correlate for each person? That should help answer the question of how dis-similar two identical sensitivities can actually be, on two different machines.

Re: POLL: What is your mouse sensitivity?
4.4. I don't need the added accuracy of <2.0 because I usually dont play sniper, and no other class needs that kind of accuracy. Plus, I tried <2.0 once and whenever a spy came behind me and someone yelled out "SPY!!" It took me so long to do a 180 that I had no chance.

I like to stay at about 7.2 or 7.3. Its sensitive enough to get where you need your weapon to be, but not too sensitive as to yank it where it shouldnt be.

Funny little visual glitch on dead center ch 1
For a while, (I think it stopped now) every time I played infected first on the first level of dead center, when I was "switching teams" I would catch a brief glimpse of Ellis with his eyes rolled back in his head holding his hands out like he was holding a medkit
It's kinda creepy! Anyone else?
