    New TF2 updates

    [-]January 7, 2008 - Team Fortress 2 Update Released

    Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

    Team Fortress 2


    Added an option in the Options->Multiplayer dialog to filter custom game files being downloaded from servers

    Fixed cases where ragdolls were falling through the world

    Graphics optimizations for mid and low end hardware

    Fixed players blocking doors in Well

    Fixed engineer building in exploit areas on final caps in Well

    Increased starting round timer to 10 minutes in Well

    Is that engineer exploit location the one way up top of the last cap point where you have to jump to build an exit on a ledge?

    If so, I didn't know that was exploit'ish.

    There could be another one we don't know about.

    Regardless, it isn't that effective. A Scout can scoot through there fast enough not to get killed and still cap the point.

    Isn't that the timer that's usually 30 seconds? Wouldn't that be some what long?

    The set up time is 30 seconds... they've increased the match length (before cap bonuses) to 10 minutes.

    I wouldn't say exploit, but its fucking stupid. It takes at least 3 minutes to get up there...Thats time you could be helping your team, time you could be building useful teleports, time you could be building sentries on UNLOCKED capture points. The only time its actually helpful to the team to build up there is when its too late.
