Gravelpit - A or B first?
Every time you spawn on offense this inevitable question comes up. Having played this map so much I have heard every argument.
"B, because its harder to get + we can't let them get set up, we can get A afterwards because its so easy to take."
"A, because its easier - we may as well get it out of the way, we are just going to get spawn camped at B anyways, and we can flank them from C after we get A."
Thoughts?
I would also like you to explain how you defend this map, because IMO it is the hardest map to defend. Most of the time it isn't a question of IF you can defend, its a question of HOW LONG you can hold them off.

Re: Gravelpit - A or B first?
As long as you get A with greater than 2 minutes left I think thats fine.
Sometimes I call A rush first, sometimes I ask for one scout to see about grabbing A, sometimes I just take a nap.
I do agree that from a defense standpoint, A is harder to hold than B.

B first...
If you cant get through your B hallways and clear out the demos and soldiers, you have problems other than what point to capture first... If they have a full head of steam setup at B, concentrate most of your resources to A while still having some go B. This way you can cap the point at A quickly with more people and possibly still have a chance to take out the defense left at B.

Re: Gravelpit - A or B first?
A. It's reasonably simple to capture (and defend), and if you get it quickly, it gives you another angle of approach for B.
People usually only send a couple of people to attack A, so you only need a couple (or even just one) people to defend it. The idea is that you force them to send more to A to cap it, which bogs down their assault on B. If they ignore A, you just turtle at B.

Re: Gravelpit - A or B first?
B then send a Scout or two for A. B is hard to take sometimes and easy if the demo men can get in and sticky the crap out of it :P. Thats why it's a good idea to have ground troops outside B when defending other wise your trapped in the house which makes you easy nade target.
