Meh, would have been more impressive 20 years ago because he would have had to program the damn thing in assembly (that's machine code)!

Gotta give him credit for sticking with it though. 10,000 users isn't that many..but who knows what the future holds for this kid if he keeps learning.

If only kids focused on doing this kind of stuff instead of screaming "faggot" at each other, then gaming has quite a future.

Making a video game is too easy these days. That's both a good and a bad thing, it is good because people who don't have the required programming skills can build a game now. It is bad because we end up with a ton of shovelware that no one wants to play.

Could this kid have built this game 10 years ago? I'm not sure that he could. But he's gotten his feet wet now so he'll probably continue to learn, he's got a good head start on most of his peers.

BTW Farmville sucks. I would have never thought about producing a piece of crap like that, but then again I'm not worth 1 billion dollars so what do I know?

The facebook founder is rich he has 4.4 billion and the amount of people who go on facebook a day is 500million users think about all the money you get from people logging on facebook with all the ads on the side

The facebook founder is a lucky SOB who had the same idea as at least a thousand others. He just got lucky and sold out at the right time.

In 1998 I was working with a guy who designed basically the same type of website, but it never caught on. Of course back then we didn't have fancy AJAX scripts and embedded video.

It just goes to show that you can have a great idea but if your unlucky enough to launch it at the wrong time it will not take off.

True It used to be all about myspace then bebo now facebook.
Eventually some new guy with a new website will overtake facebook
