TeamPlay as a soldier:
Soldiers can be devastating offensive forces, and I believe that this is the reason most people select them, however their role in TRUE teamplay is far greater than "pwning noobs" and getting an impressive score.
Choke-point management:
Soldiers, along with Demomen, have the ability to manage a chokepoint by filling it with explosive splash damage. They aren't traditionally an ambush class, like the pyro, and for this reason, should be played either in a forward moving fashion or a backward moving fashion...in general...
Their ability to rocket jump lets them get to more creative locations such as the roof of B in Gravelpit or on the wall above the sniper nest on 2Fort.
Use the soldier's explosive rockets to suppress the enemy and as was stated before, control their movement if they are advancing. You can blow them back by aiming at the ground in front of them, which can be very handy!
Long Range Demolition:
Soldiers rockets travel very long distances and can be used to take out engineer's deployable assets (dispensers, teleporters, sentry guns). This is particularly valuable in the case of sentry guns as you can get outside the range of the gun and take it out.
However! If the gun is being "tanked" by the engineer (squatting behind it, with his wrench out, repairing as you shoot) you will not be able to out-damage his repair ability alone...if he has 200 metal and access to a full dispenser and a level 3 sentry, your rockets will damage it at a slower rate than he can repair it. Here you have 2 options. First, you can take out his dispenser to limit his supply of metal and lower his ability to tank his sentry or aim in such a way as your splash damage hits the engineer. I find that both of these can be accomplished by aiming at the dispenser because the splash will bounce off of it and damage both the dispenser and the engie. Once either of these is down, its open season.
Rocket Jump Defense:
SO effective...just fly into the air above a point and rain down rockets on your foes...It's a super effective tactic that will get you many "NICE SHOT!" praises from your teammates who see you flying thru the air to save the day.
That's all for now, time for me to go again. peace out! Keep on rock(et)ing

Looking for a team of 3 players to get the "Strength in numbers" achievement.
Hey everyone i'm looking for a team of 3 players that are willing to
help to get the "Strength in numbers" achievement in L4D2.
If 3 players want to help i know a good way to do it.
If you have a second controller we will have 8 players.
Then i'll just set up a team versus lobby and we'll take turns.
Also i'm very sure that this method works.
So uhm, yeah let me know if you're up for it!
P.S. - I'll set up a time that suits everybody once ive gotten 3 players.
Thanks in advance!.
