I think it'll work just like if you knocked aside some stickies with a gun, the demo blows them, and your team mates die.

I think that the flair will really depend on preference. When The patch comes out the flair gun will suck cause pyros extinguish fast. The shotgun is a good weapon for taking out semi close range pyros. I think the backburner will become a major weapon cause a good pyro strat is to run around things. The axetinquisher? I dont know... Seems useful but also has some sevier limitations.

Man, reading this thread has made the Grammar Nazi within angry.
If these changes are real, I may just have to start playing TF2 again. I always hated how weak the Pyro was unless you got on someone's ass from a blind corner (and the good players always knew where those blind corners were), and how easy it was for a Soldier or Deeeeemoman to stomp a Pyro, even if he did get the jump. Looks like the air blast mechanic will fix that by bouncing rockets back or kicking Deeemomen out of instant-kill range for those damned crit grenades.
Flaregun's gonna be fun.
