Very good point. I'd have to agree with Veovis. This of course has nothing to do with me primarily playing medic... nothing at all.

A team with NO medics versus a team with NO pyros... who do you think would win?
Science proved that the RED team has more of a chance. So probably red.

Well, when the mass pyroing slows down, then I will try and get some. Till then I am haveing too much fun juggling them with rockets

I like the pyro.. though it is my 2nd to last played class. I think the backburner will be cool, and the flare gun.... not so much. The axe may be cool, but I am too slow to axe them while on fire! lol.

The spies would crush no pyros!!! :P

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is how useful the airblast is to cap certain points. Think C on gravel pit, and the spire of Badlands... Push away stickies, knock your enemies off, and it's yours!

I have done this several time. Come up to a soldier standing on the point that is almost caped for your team...say next to last or middle point on badlands...push him off and cap the point. Air blast is very good. Light someone on fire, juggle them away from the health, and watch them burn. Very good tactic for annoying scouts.

As for the other unlocks...I regretfully get pushed out of the pyro spot because I am a teamplayer and do not wish to loose. I have the flare gun so far and I like it. It is very good at being annoying to snipers and heavys.

Re: Thoughts on the pyro unlocks

My biggest beef with the Pyro unlocks is the Backburner.

I play spy a lot and if you run into a pyro now it's over 100% of the time. You can't turn and run without instadeath, and backpedaling and shooting rarely works either.

Mostly, I just Valve would wait and release all the achievements at once. I would wait a couple months rather than unbalancing the game like this. My 2 least played classes are the two that have unlocks right now. How long before I get to have a spy, heavy, or demo unlock? Even when I do how much grinding do I have to do off of TTP servers to get the unlocks? All and all I hate the unbalance these unlocks provide one at a time

dont forget the fact that once the unlocks for your class do come out, everybody and their mother will be playing that class so itll be a pain to get or use your unlocks once they are out.

Thats why you get good at multiple classes and not just be a one tone musical...

I have gotten good, or at least decent, on multiple classes. I have hundreds of hours between spy, heavy, demo, and engineer. I just don't care for the other classes.
