    I wish the demo wouldn't get nerfed. It's a good solid class and it takes skill to use well.

    Only thing i hate about demo's stickies is that 1 crit sticky takes out my full health soldier. I've seen direct hits on my rockets leave demos and pyros still alive. Other than that I don't really care about it. Nerf snipers. /sarcasm

    The gun shields him from it because of the nature of splash damage.

    The explosion of the rocket coming head on gets spread down and does not impact the engi.

    The explosion of the stickies on the ground under the tripod can hit the demoman, and considering 1 at a close distance can take an engi down 3 hitting him from under the tripod will kill him.

    Just because its cartoony doesn't mean its not realistic if that was the way the world was.

    thats what crits are for. crit rockets take out pretty much anything. Hell I have even sniped some1 with 2 shots from my engi's pistol thanks to a crit.

    who in their right mind thinks demos need nerfing? Valve needs to spend some time on the TTP servers and see how their game runs in a true teamwork environment before making any changes to the classes. More payload maps would be great though, I love Goldrush.

    The demoman sticky critical is obscenely powerful but thats mostly because they can decide when to blow it. And the demoman has zero close range defence. His only option is to drop a sticky on his on foot and blow it up or hope the opponent doesn't do any funky strafing and dodge the normal grenades.

    This makes me think of how I've been killing pyros with my booze bottle jug lately. I know; the new melee unlock for Demos will be the ability to team up with a pyro to throw Molotov cocktails!

    OMFG THANK YOU. I read the first post and LAUGHED! Guys, quit building your goddamned dispenser 1 inch from your sentry. It is possible to have it far enough away so that the demo will only get one of your items instead of everything. Same strat works for spies. Place them far enough apart and by the time he has sapped one you know who it is and can kill him and remove the sap. lastly, quit standing right on top of your shit. Back up with your back to a wall. For god's sake. You know when it's taking damage, so stay near, but don't sit on top of it. I just don't agree with the complaint that when a demo is allowed to lob three, four, five stickies into a pile that it should be nerfed. Your team shoul kill that demoman instead of you crying about it. If someone is allowed to concentrate fire on a small spot then that spot should take massive damage. I love the demo and nerfing it sounds like a terrible idea to me.

    I agree with sammus. The only downside to NOT hiding right next to your sentry is that it does have a higher chance of getting destroyed. The good part? If your dispensor is a bit away it will survive and youl get your sentry back up real quick. I know when ever I play enge my stuff gets blown up all the time but I get alot of shotgun and pistol kills cause people are so intent on getting the sentry that they ignore me.

    Bull. They still lose to heavies or soldiers or even scouts, if you use them right.

    However, since pyros are supposed to be a main offensive class, they can now actually fight successfully. They are not longer complete shit, and once they get close they're gonna kill you, but at range 90% of the other classes can beat them.

    They're balanced.
    Right, as a pyro there's nothing i hate more than scouts.
