    Gonzo0100

Gonzo, well Hunter S. Thompson. http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/gonzo/trailer/

0100 - Well when I used to skate back in the day we joked around that a mullet was a 1090 (10% on top and 90% in the back) On a dare someone told me to throw down the 0100, so I did. I guess it stuck after that. ooo, its pronounced (Zero-wun-hundred) haha

This belongs more in Off the Servers and will probly get moved, but ill give you the lowdown.

My original name when i started playing css was DirtyDan*
My real name is Daniel and I was a messy person. Also this was around that time the episode of spongebob where sandy was hibernating and kept talking about Dirtydan (lol classic).

Then I joined a clan called mcgavin. So I changed it to Dirtymcgavin, thus my css and bf2142 name.

Then I started playin mmo's (WoW) and made the name Cojiro from an item in Ocarina of Time (see my avatar as reference) because Dirtymcgavin wasnt a very good mmo fantasy name. Then I started gaming in fps games with people that i play WoW with so I changed my fps name to Cojiro so they could recognize me easier, and that stuck. But I still rock the Dirtymcgavin name on css and bf2142 to represent my old clan(family) which is still active in 1.6 I believe.

I dont think it will get moved. Im interested to see the name origins from people that play TF2, not everyone.

tr (not in game, just needed to make my name longer for the boards) = The Regulars, a self-made clan of a group I was part of way back in the day (probably about 8 years ago) that also liked teamplay. Hell the site name was teamplay.cc!

enf = enforcer - given to me when I was a child by my teammates in Little League because I was a few days short of the age cut off to be moved up a level, so I just rick-rolled everyone in the lower level that year.

Re: What does your name mean?

    Right then, where to begin...

I used to do a lot of writing. When I was very young, I somehow thought I could write a full short novel on some very cliché concept that I don't want to try to explain, because I regret every page of that atrocity. In the process, I created a small handful of characters whom I reused in later stories for various creative writing projects/classes.

One of the characters I introduced in the original story-thing was an enigmatic professor-type named Zen Saohu. There wasn't really any particular reason for the choice of name; Saohu was supposed to be a name of ambiguous almost-Asian origin and was supposed to be as equally and deceptively difficult to pronounce as my own last name. Zen was just something arbitrary; the running gag would be the uttering of the phrase "Just call me Zen."

Zen's character eventually developed in my later writings to be more of an external character; one who seemed to flit in and out of the story as a sort of nontagonist. He appeared to be a very chaotic character with no predictability, as his motives were usually something beyond the comprehension of both the protagonist and the antagonist. Most uniquely, he appears to break the 4th wall repeatedly, but only in the sense that he uses vocabulary that would be best suited to describe the characters in a story.

In any case, having a character that imitated an author added an interesting element to my stories, and I soon took his name up as a pen name. I expanded his name to Zenteran to create a non-explanation for his name, and to have his names match the syllabry of my own, and now I basically either use Zen Saohu or Zenteran in most of the online games I play.

That's basically it. Also, I tag a little something on the end of my official signature which is an overlapping of the first 3 characters of my pen name, just for the heck of it.

    Happy now?

Re: What does your name mean?

hmmmmm this sounds like fun and I play TF2 so I guess I'll join in.

I guess my screen name started back when I used to play an rpg called Maplestory(gay game). And one of the playable classes was an assassin or "sin" for short as they were called in that game, the assassin class used throwing knives or stars of various names and sizes as their weapon. And one day my friend and I were talking about how undeniably stupid all of the players (who played the assassin class) screen names were... they all looked something like this: shadowsinz darksin ithrowshadowstarz ithrow________(insert name of weapon)...basically the words sin assassin dark shadow mixed in some way with numbers included. And I could estimate that 60% of the players had a name that looked incredibly similar to those mentioned above.

So as a mockery of their names I created an assassin character with the screen name IthrowDUCKS. After that day I always tried to have the word duck somewhere in my name. But eventually I grew bored of the game and rpg's overall and was a bit depressed for a while. Until one day I bought Halo (for Pc). After quickly beating singleplayer (on the easy difficulty) I went on to multiplayer and had to choose a screen name (with the word duck) so came the name LuckyDucky, and I have been using it for most games I play.

So I guess my name came about because I was mocking a large group of unimaginative, retarded individuals.

    Wow I'm an ass.

Oh god I remember that show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Adult Swim. Just like Howling Mad Murphy (got his name from Sealab 2021 (funny show)).

I should have picked a better name than this, but I got the name from an Age of Empires III character named Alain Magnan. Coincidentally, the names both sound alike, but at the time, all "Alain"s were taken. So I just replaced the I, and put in an extra L. It's pretty much stuck since then.
