Thread: Your servers are the best

I first found the TTP server in January just from it having a good ping. I immediately added it to my favorites. My last gaming addiction was PSO, a game where almost everyone hacked, and Sonic Team did nothing about it. A few of us did our best to play legitimately, but it frustrating. It's been such a breath of fresh air to find such a large community that wants to actually play a game the way it was meant to be played, has fair rules, admins that are active, and absolutely no BS from what I've seen.
I used to play almost exclusively on a private server, but we always have alltalk on and our numbers are dwindling. TTP is where I get my serious TF2 play, and it's been exactly what I've been looking for. My only complaint is that TTP has completely ruined me for playing on pubs; I can't do it anymore, it's too frustrating. Unfortunately both TTP servers are often full, so I'm thinking I might need to check into one of those Reserved slots you offer.

I'm sure you hear this all the time, but I wanted to come here and say thanks for being awesome. I actually live in Louisiana; I hope that's not a problem. :P

Also, what's up with the psychostats? Yesterday it didn't show anything past January, and now there's nothing past May.

He's right about the best players being from Texas, but he was referring to me.

Welcome anyhow. I feel the same way about other servers. It's just plain annoying to play on them anymore.

I have been to Texas, for extended periods of time even (not counting the 2 days it takes to drive through it).

P-Stats we're working on compiling - they are still not right - apologies for it....we should have them working w/in a couple of days/weeks?

There are HUGE ammounts of Data to move around, so sometimes as the stats run, they dates will be funny.

After you find TTP public servers do not exsist.

The only time I jump on another server anymore is to try out a custom map...and I usually don't stay long since I am so spoiled on TTP. TTP gaming is just little to addicting

^OK, that's understandable. I just saw that for a reserved slot or to join a clan they want to look at your psychostats, and while I've been playing on TTP some since December, I'm much better now, so please ignore those early stats.

Funny TTP story: My brother is huge into CS:S, and a few month ago he said to me, "I found this really great Counter-Strike server. It's called Texas Team Players." I laughed and said, "That's my favorite Team Fortress server, so that makes sense." You saved my brother because he used to only play scoutzknivez and aim maps, which if you don't know, those maps are not CS gameplay and require little team play. He found the true awesomeness of CS:S when he found TTP. Now I've always avoided CS:S because I suck at it, and so it's hard to get into now, but I joined my bro on TTP's server and again found that for the most part people are helpful and understanding. I do have to get used to the differences between TF2 and CS:S, such as teammates can't run through you when you stand in a doorway. Sorry!!!
Strange thing is I love sniping the most in CS:S and DoD:S, but hate it in TF2.
