Bouncing Rockets

Guys, I was thinking (for once)... I wonder if it would be possible to play "catch" with a soldier and 2 pyros. The soldier could launch a rocket at a pyro from the opposing team who would then reflect it back (being back a good distance will help with timing) and then the pyro from the original team would bounce it back. I realize it would be hard, but it might just be fun.

See how many volleys you could get. Course you would have to record the whole thing.

Sounds like a good idea to do while priming.

We were doing it in FNF on fastlane when the pyro update first came out. I have a demo of it somewhere. It was a bit difficult since people didnt really have the timing of it down yet, and everyone was running around hadukening people. I think not that the hype has settled down, we can try `er out again...

omg awesome. who do I have to sleep with to have one of those maps out on the match server or something so we could play around with it. Plus, talk about good practice.

One thing Ive noticed if youre an aggressive pyro (like me) is to predict a delay in the rocket being shot from the enemy if you just bounced one back at him and are still running at him. It usually happens about 75% of the time.

And if you are the soldier shooting the rockets being bounced back at you. AIM LOWER! Quit trying to whiz one past the airblast. With some luck, you might be able to pop him in the air and have a rocket waiting for him when he lands...
