If that guy is right, it sounds extremely sweet to me.

In pubs, being able to use custom weapon types and get lots of different strategies will be awesome. Its getting a little stale after a year and a half, the old maps need new tricks to revitalize them.

Then for 6v6 competitive play, if its too unbalanced or removes the skill on skill aspect of tf2, we'll just keep using vanilla stuff to keep everyone on the same level like it is right now.

Best of both worlds hopefully on the way.

Il find a rocket launcher with +50% chance to stun. I will also be able to facestab with my shotgun and the shovel will give me a quad jump. I cant wait.

I think the shotgun would get its own category of positional glitchyness. Lets call it the"Facemaim".

However facestabs will still wtf own your broad shoulders big boiiiiii.

There are nuanced skills in TF2 though...that Valve is rewarding with the upgraded weapons...

For example. Sneaking up behind an enemy as anything other than a spy is hard - so the made a special weapon (backburner) that rewards it.

Same with the UberSaw. A medic is typically not in any position to use his melee weapon, so if a medic wielding the ubersaw manages to get out of a dicey CQB situation with that saw, he gets a bonus for it.

Other weapons are not that way, like the Natasha - but that's how I see it going.
