    Idea for new unlockable wrench

No title yet but here's the basic idea

    Pros
    1. You now crit disguised spies
    2. You can steal metal from enemies by hitting them.

    Cons
    1. You do 10% less damage and no crits
    2. It takes more hits to knock off a sapper

Not much, but do you have a better idea?

I dunno, I know I wouldn't use it if that were true because you get so many crit wrenches as an engi anyways...

I don't have any ideas for a different wrench though, and I'm kinda leaning toward Valve not having an unlock for the wrench, just like they didn't have unlocks for the spy/sniper melee weapons, because they could have a bunch of building unlocks for him.

But the question is what though?

I mean what exactly can you build for the engineer as an unlock that still somewhat keeps the game balanced?

    Buff the sentry.
It's so easy to just kill the sentry without an uber.
Once people know you have a sentry there it becomes you just sitting there, waitying for it to get blown up.
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

Um no as it is the wrench has like a 15 foot range, crits HEAVILY, and kills in about 1-2 hits.

I'm leaning more toward a gun that does more damage with less HP and a gun that does less damage while having more HP. Or they will have a quick building weak gun and a slow building strong gun. Simple but you always have to really think about which gun you want for the job you'll be doing.

Of course Valve is usually creative so we'll probably see something that we didn't even expect that will be totally amazing!

Edit-Forgot that this was for the wrench! The following guns are built with certain wrenches that you equip

Making the amount of swings for the sapper to come off bigger will make noone use it.

Engis barely get sappers off after killing spys to begin with, this will make people go out and attack the spy only to come back and see that he cant fix his sentry.

I recommend making it LESS swings to take off a sapper, and less damage/crits.

Re: Idea for new unlockable wrench

It takes 2 swings to remove a sapper as is. That is low enough. 1 swing would just be dumbing it down too hard for engis. Engis arent retarded, they dont need to be treated like they are special.

I'm actually thinking of a set of replacement buildings for the engineer. The old set was primarily designed for defense. However, why not make buildings for offense?

You can easily make the current buildings offensive if you know the rights spots on each map.
