Re: So about this competetive tf2 6v6 stuff

We only got to play two maps (2fort and Hydro, dont judge us!) due to Top5 needing priming, but it was a lot of fun. 2fort, we chose our classes and it was really close at the end (the way 2fort should be enjoyed). Hydro was the fun part. Different captains, different teams, random class. You just see people join a team and then hear "Ah dammit!" over all_talk when they randomized their class. I think the best was Riot getting heavy and Burn getting a backstab on him talking shit (hopefully someone get a screenie).

All in all, great idea, and a lot of fun with randomness. Kind of takes some people out of their comfort zone and mixes it up to keep the game fresh. The config was a little wonky though. Class limit of 1 for each class, except for Scout, which had 2 so people could use the extra class slot to change around their classes, but some people still had difficulty allowing them to switch. They would have to go spec, wait for the other person to switch out of the class and then rejoin the team to pick their class. Not too big of a deal since this is all done during warmup time, but just wondering why it was screwy.

Hopefully we can get FNF back up and running. The last post in the match server forum (other than Burns recent one for tonite) was 05/22/09, 05:03 PM. haha

Yeah it was a lot of fun. I'm glad we were able to get the full 9v9. I was hoping to play at least another map. We have to try to do this again sometime. I'm going on a trip tomorrow and I don't know if I'll be back in time next Friday.

    I still can't believe I got heavy .

Most laughs Ive had from tf2 in a while.

Went off fairly well overall, nice to hear people enjoyed themselves.
Gotta say, I really liked the highlander style again.

Me randoming to spy was a hoot. So wish I had recorded a demo.

    I was really bad.
Veo commenting on my lost wandering spy moments.
    But had some successes too.
Sold it to the medic once or twice.
    Backstabed a few heavies.

OWNED birdinator with the ambassador in a long range snipe off.
Then got OWNED right back with a kurki to the face as I tried to inadequately sap a sentry.
    Laughed hard on that one.

Good fun and Ill be setting another one up sometime in the future.

gg, saw our poor medic healing burn as spy but since there was no vent.....i could only watch him buff burn to full hp and then get killed rofl.

As did I you running jumping crouching ambassador wielding sleuth, you. I had like 4 health left...

I really didn't do anything as a sniper... Hydro's a weird map for it. But that same round I got a sweet headshot off on Soldier while he had a fully-charged uber. That felt good.

2fort Highlander was actually really cool. I'd be up for that again in the future.

Fun for sure. Was worth it to see Riot get backstabbed as a heavy!

And SJA running around as demo launching stickies one at a time.

I think I played more sniper last night than I had combined in my TF2 career prior to last night. Ugh, I suck. It was fun though.

I find that that a backstab+q to sappers+sap on SG works nicely. Failing that, spamming sappers on all of the engie's gear while madly hopping around and over the buildings works quite nicely, too.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
