There's no "downside" to that rocket.... so how Valve be seriously considering it? I think its a phocket-launcher.

Only when you compare them to "normal" weapons. If everybody had the "Valve" weapons there would be no big deal, everybody would just be harder to kill (and better at killing) at the same time.

Maybe they're just messing with people.

There is also an email posted in one of my links (maybe fake?) where Valve "says" they are going to give special weapons to community developers. Better get your name in the hat for your LS work.
