Badlands Demo Jumps

From a match last night; this is the fastest way I've found to mid (and still arriving with decent health).

Add some explaining text, maybe another demo or two of other demo jump locations and you would have a great strategy/tactics guide to submit for Teamplayer Media.

ya, I'm trying to figure out how to do this in HD though and I'm really bad at doing movies.

This is why you are so much better at demo than me. I would never take the time to figure out how to get to mid this fast. It's a real game changer though, getting mid is key to victory and having a heavy class up front with the other team only having scouts is a huge advantage.

Nice, but i got a question. On the last jump what do you do there (jump, walk out, crouch w/e)? As I'm always getting below the bridge, any tips would be very appreciated.

My clanmates are beating me up over this map so I had to.

Tools2baic: It's a really tricky jump; and it's much safer to just throw a sticky on the ground and jump up to bridge. But if you place the sticky right, kinda middle of the metal and in the bottom 1/4th of the metal, then crouch/jump over it and detonate the sticky as you pass over the top of it, it should shoot you right into the building and you'll glide to the far side of the walkway.

Practice practice...

edit: Also, I think every one of my jumps is a crouch jump, although I've made it up the stairs both ways and I'm thinking a regular jump might be best to make it upstairs without hitting your head on the ceiling. Believe me, I screw those 2 jumps up more than I make them (stairs and bridge), but eventually i'll get them down consistently.

I can finally pull it of, placing the sticky (kinda) in the middle seems to be the key.

And I don't know why I can't find it, but I feel like somebody linked a demo in the past few days of Reptile (I think) doing a similar thing, and he also had an option where he went far left, placed two stickys in the garage door under the spire, and jumped all the way to the trains in one jump.... but needed a medic on him for that.
