    Re: Hows your new setup?

I got a new gpu recently from evga and it runs great. As for my setup, nothing new really. I may try using one of my side buttons for voice though since everyone else is doing it. Right now one's for taunting and the other for last weapon used, and my middle mouse button allows me to change team disguises. Last weapon used is amazingly helpful for stab n saps.

ive been running crouch as my thumb click on mouse since css 1.5
what i did recently is buy a gaming mousepad.
it didn't make me better but it did make me more consistent.
shots I knew I could make before I make with some sort of regularity.
the pad tracks the same every time (unlike cheap pads)

+1 I agree completely being able to shoot strafe and talk at the same time helps out soooo much.

Another one who found thumb button for voice (and second thumb button for vent) to make a huge difference. I also use shift for crouch, which involves less stretching and makes crouch-jumping much easier. Green dot for crosshair, FOV 90, and graphics settings turned all the way down have definitely helped the visuals of the game - with lower graphics, everything not only runs smoother, but looks much cleaner and easier to distinguish.

Now, if only I could switch my ISP's "Suck" setting off.

changed my crouch in l4d to shift, probably follow in tf2. It hurts my hand reaching for ctrl.

    Re: Hows your new setup?

-Went to no viewmodels a couple months ago

-Installed a custom hud that moves the health and ammo to center of screen to make it easier to read them. I'm using this one currently with a few additional tweaks I did myself: http://code.google.com/p/flamehud/

-Using this FPS config that improves fps a lot without much noticable detail loss from the low settings I used to use anyways. It does turn off gibs though which some people don't like. This site also has a custom hud which some people like but its too radical for my tastes. http://m0re.nocrits.com/

    Re: Hows your new setup?

-Viewmodels off for everything except projectiles. The added weight to right of screen seems to help me with projectiles since they fire out from the right. Everything else seems more natural, and balanced without the model.

-Different colored crosshairs for each weapon slot. (a must with viewmodels off)

-Ragdolls off. For better fps, less ammo wasted on corpses, though slightly less fun.

-Returning Vsync to OFF. If you run XP, make sure you have that shit off, or else you end up with unavoidable, and very undesirable mouse lag in source due to the methods used.

I can't change from my old 'C' and 'V' for voice coms... My thumb naturally falls there, and I can hold it down, and jump/strafe/croush just fine. I thank years of guitar playing, and spidery fingers mostly.
