TF2 Teamkill

Quick question. I was looking at HLstatsX and was trying to figure out what a team kill was for TF2. Is that like when someone reflects a rocket into a team mate?

Some servers have friendly fire on, or can be toggled on by an administrator.

If you want to know, it's not even worth trying.

Well I would figure that would be true on a friendly fire server, but i was just curious how that worked with TTP. Lol, I guess now Im might be the target of team mates for "demonstrational" purposes....

i think the closest you can get to a tk is if you're a medic and you assist an enemy spy

Yeah, apparently it's actually possible to dominate your own teammate by doing that.

theres a weird glitch with the splash damage on sentry rockets where you can kill teammates with it, no idea if its still in the game or they fixed it yet since it rarely happens.

This.

The pyro who airblasted the rockets takes ownership of them so that shows up as a real RED vs BLU kill. The only way I believe to teamkill is by lvl 3 sentry rockets firing at an enemy and a friendly gets in the line of fire. It has taken me down a few times actually. I know a spy can uncloak with the engy standing in between the him and the gun and get killed by his own sentry, so I dont think the rocket splash is a glitch as much as its just the (un)luck of the draw.

I just know about the spy backstabs. Didn't know about Pyro Airblast.

For example:

A engy has a sentry, then himself, then a dispenser behind him. A Spy uncloak's next to the dispenser, the gun shoots the engy because it's kinda like rocket jumping or demo jumping, you hurt youself.
I have seen a few other cases of other people getting killed by their own engi. I always forget why it happens though.
