Kicked for "spamming chat" script...

Seriously whats up with that? I hit medic a few times or if I just use the taunt a couple of times during pre-round I get booted. When was this put in place, and how do we go about getting rid of it? Both Vlade and me were wanting to get in a few rounds tonight, and we couldn't go 5 or 10 minutes without incidentally getting the boot.

Little help?

Roger, we added a script to combat chat spam attacks on the server. I have the feeling it is a little too sensitive.

My guess is you were calling for a medic repeatedly?

Ya Arreo me and Clint were playing I tapped medic twice and got booted. It is way to sensitive.

Alright, how often do you think it is ok to call for medic? What would you say the cutoff should be?

I would say tapping it 5 times in 5 seconds would be too much.

5~10 second threshold between medic calls, 5 times in a row. It sounds reasonable, but it'd have to be tested and tweaked a bit...

Couldn't you make an exception for "MEDIC!" calls made? I mean, just generally. That way, we don't even have to delve into this issue, unless there has been a specific instance of someone attacking the server with a "press 'e'" script...
