Did you know that you can extinguish burning Allies? Its true!
I have died several times due to people not putting me out while I yell "I am melting!" in front of people able to aid me.

There are two main ways that you can help!

Use compression blast. If you are using the backburner you are the canker sore on the roof of the mouth of the team.
Use jarate. Hell you might as well be useful for something. I bet you use the huntsman too.

additionally, as a medic you can counteract the burning effect by healing burning teammates.

Yes, I knew. I don't play pyro though and when I snipe I usually don't have jarate equipped. So, I usually only extinguish people when I am playing medic.

I used to be a total backburner guy but this plus the reflect has converted me to airblast....except for initial rushes to mid under bridge on blands :2

As a medic, this is something I usually try to do. Sometimes it is hard though depending on what is happening. Like if I am already healing a Heavy or someone else under heavy gunfire, I cannot always heals people that are burning, yet they still get pissed at me. It is hard being the only medic sometimes.

It is also hard when a pyro burns multiple people and you try to heal them all and someone still dies.

As a pyro I usually forget that my airblast can put out burning people because I did not know it could do that for the longest time. I try to remember, but I honestly just forget half the time.

I rarely play sniper, but when I do, I do carry the Jarate and use it when/if I can. Same with the pyro though in that I usually forget to do it.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT!!!!!!!

If you are a medic and using kritzkrieg you can save yourself from burning to death by taunting. You do stand still and you are a sitting duck. If some stupid scout has stolen your med pack and you are closing in on 12hp or so while burning. A nice hit off of the krtizkrieg (taunt) will either extinguish you or at least save your ass a little longer.
