People who play Soldier and Demoman are the ones hearing it? Sorta makes sense I guess... since they are both in need of a class update.

I heard it while playing one of the two.

I know I heard them from playing Soldier, that's a definite.

Ok I've had a little time to think about this and I've thought of a possibility.

Outside of Texas team players, team fortress isn't much of a TEAM game. People fuck around and do things on their own. Maybe this friendship thing is something to encourage teamwork? Maybe it works like dominations and nemesis does, but instead, maybe you get a bonus for working together with a buddy. And when you get a "friendship" going, it's announced to everyone else so they know to look out for you two.

Also, maybe this is part of the solly and demo update, since those two classes are so good, maybe you get bonuses for combining forces.

It's just a hunch but....meh

I know i was playing demo when i head it last night on steel. I can;t remember for the life of me who else heard it i think it was a killers member but i cant be positive.

I had a weird blotchy thing that could have been that next to my name as well last night. It looked like a messy graphical anomoly to me, it wasn't a clear image...as if it was distorted but it was tall and could have been that as I've never seen it before.
