anyone know what the deal is with Dead Ringers? I have four of them, tried to combine three and nothing happened

They don't work as weapons and thus cannot be combined for scrap metal. But you can put those 4 together and get a class token for spy. Then combine that will a weapon from any other class and get a class token for that class, correct?

I'm working towards getting a Medic hat, but I've been getting kinda bad luck with drops since the update. It will probably be a while.

I was really happy to get another hat about a week ago, but then found it was a Trophy Belt. And I already have the Professional's Panama, which was the sniper hat I wanted anyway. You apparently can't combine the Gibus, halo, or Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask with normal hats to get new ones.

Same problem here, I have literally gotten 2 random drops since the update, so I still and just here with my 1 scrap metal that I was able to make out of items I had before the update.... :5

Update: any 3 tokens can be crafted together for a reclaimed metal.

In essence since you've spent 4x items on each token, you are spending 12x items for a reclaimed metal... which normally costs only 9x. So you're wasting a few items, but it's still a viable craft if you were foolish enough to make dozens of tokens before you knew what you were doing, and now you want to get rid of them.
