As some of you may or may not know, this was officaly my second day playing tf2. I've seen some ownage because I'm the one getting owned a lot. Anybody got and flame thrower tips or demo tips?

Pyro vs. Pyro
If outside of flamethrower range, use the shotgun/flaregun.
If inside flaming range, run backwards and let them come to you. You'll outdamage them and win.

Pyro vs. Spy
Everyone's a spy so set them all on fire.

Pyro vs. Uber
Using the default burner (what real men use; the back burner is for camping babies), air blast the uber attempting to do so in an upwards direction. If they go airborne, start "catching" them with the air blast until the uber runs out. If they aren't going airborne, let the ubered demo/pyro/heavy/etc. go on ahead while using the air blast to separate and isolate the medic so the ubered target loses invulnerability.

Demos vs. everyone
Pills are your friend. Shoot them at everyone making sure to lead the target if moving and to angle upwards if the target is at distance.

Works every time.

Situational pyros:

Air blast is perfect for stopping ubers. Try and blow them back straight up so you can juggle them and prevent them from doing any harm to your team.

Backburner is great for maps with a lot of ledges, dives, and flanking routes. Gorge is an excellent backburner map.

The other tips work great for general play.

Pyro = Ambush class. Flank the living piss out of the opposing team and never start blasting out flames until you are right on your target, otherwise this will get you some unwanted attention. Secondly, your shotgun is your best friend don't assume it's useless because you are wielding the power to blow flames.
