cp_coldfront - the secret new official map?

I was playing along last night and a nextmap vote pops up with this mysterious new map...cp_coldfront. I thought it was a custom, had never heard of it before...well it passed and we played it...it was REALLY fun!

Was this in the patch notes? Nobody on my team knew it was in the game until the vote popped up. Crazy!

What do you think of this map? What do you think about the new maps in general?

its was one of the 4 maps in the eng update but was never added until last nights patch

That's pretty cool. I really liked it.

With all these great official maps, I think the top5 server should turn into a top 7-10 server...

I played it on the server on the night the update came out. It's a huge map.

I noticed Coldfront on the TF2 Wiki. Looks all sorts of awesome. And it's 5 CP! I always liked Viaduct, too—another snowy map—but KotH never really took off around here.

Hightower is fun. Can't wait to play it with a full team.

Thunder Mountain will take some time to get used to. Scads of choke-points for Engies.

Upward is just beautiful, IMO. The final point is a bitch for either team.

I wish Valve would rework Double Cross into something besides CTF. Same thing for the Arena maps.

Viaduct is too small for 12v12. And KOTH is just sort of "HEY LET'S CAP AND THEN JUST DO OUR OWN RANDOM THING."

But yes, COLDFRONT! I wish there were more custom maps on the servers, but whatever...
Fun fact: The guy that made Coldfront was given $2,000-$3,000 for his map to be used officially.
