With his recent buffs a lot of people have been discussing the Heavy and if he's too powerful or right where he needs to be. For those that don't remember, the Heavy good buffs to his spin down/up time and his movement speed while spun down. The problem with this is that it made it too easy for Heavies to deliver their massive (over 500 at close range) and easy DPS. Even in competitive play there's talk of restricting Heavies and/or the Natasha even though that class isn't used too often.
It seems that I always get the best scores and kill/death ratio as Heavy even though he's my least played class. Just now I finished playing a game as Heavy: 25-3 score, no Medic on the team, against good players including IPswich, evil monkey and Hush. He's just so easy to use that it feels unfair to be doing so much damage.
So basically I want to know that in a 12v12 environment with balanced maps, smart players and good class distribution, is the Heavy in his current form too powerful and if so, what should be done to fix this. Personally I feel that Natasha slow needs a nerf and damage from both miniguns needs to be toned down by 5 or 10%.

Re: Is Heavy too good now?
The average server does not deal with a heavy well. But with how many counters there are for the class (Demo, Sniper, Spy, or another Heavy), a talented heavy will often have trouble, given that he must focus on a target for a second or two while it dies and gets overwhelmed. Heavies aren't dangerous if you get 2-3 people to attack one. If they all run away and you're stuck with a 1v1, you'll lose. But you're fine otherwise.

Re: Is Heavy too good now?
I dont think he is overpowered. I think that if you roll up blindly on the class in the game that has the most HP and the highest damage unprepared, you should lose. The gimpy spin-up time of the pre-patch heavy made him meat in those cases, now he is on a level playing field. If you were going 25-3 as a heavy then the other team's spies and snipers were not doing their job.

Re: Is Heavy too good now?
And that's the thing, most people just can't deal with heavies and so just blindly try and rush him (or just run away crapping themselves) which usually results in their death. Taking down a heavy is a lot easier then most people think, you just have to be smart and/or have a few people focus fire. It's no different then taking down an overhealed soldier or demo....

Re: Is Heavy too good now?
I can kill a heavy with literally every class (except medic by myself, or engineer with no buildings) with no problem at all. I think the balances are nice, but not in the right direction. The heavy needs more of a rev-up time, the current rev time is too short. Also, I think the heavy needs a damage boost, and a more narrow spread.

Re: Is Heavy too good now?
No, it's a perfectly valid argument. if he was overpowered and didn't have any weaknesses then everyone would just be walking around maps being unstoppable juggernauts.
But they aren't, because he has huge downsides that balance out his high heath and DPS. He's slower then fuck, he can't reliably hit anything beyond middle range and he's fairly prone to running out of ammo if you aren't careful.
